Brilliant Article I was running the race again, as a mother of daughter (in Black Zone,James) and sister of brother (in Gold Zone, Tania). Your narrative was spot on from training to bodily functions, and the actual day. Congratulations to the both of you, and I look forward Tania to your next marathon blog.
Congratulations!!! Ok there's no way those photos were taken after the race, you both look fresh as a daisy!! :)
Am super impressed with your efforts, well done guys!!!!

Place to stay in Amboseli - Ol Tukai Lodge, Amboseli Wow...Your article...beautiful. And your photos...amazing.
I've been to Amboseli once, and yes, it is a breathtaking place...backdrop of the Kilimanjaro, this is a home for the gods. I'm surprised you didn't mention where you stayed...but I'll help you on that one. My 3 days at Amboseli and I stayed at the Ol Tukai Lodge. I found the lodge set on an amazingly beautiful landscape, an oasis in the expansive African wildlife plain. The staff were completely friendly, made our safari a true adventure. We could view all sorts of animals, mostly elephants, right from our room and outside just a stone throw away. Felt completely awesome. Takes you back to nature...you get lost in time. The food at Ol Tukai was also amazing. Oh, and the Kilimanjaro...awesome views in the sunrise and sunset at this awesome mountain. Just everything amazing. Its just the place to be.
We also visited Sopa Lodges, a nice Lodge and a great ride through the Amboseli.
Kenya is just amazing. Totally.
Go Kenya! Tanya,
Top blogging there and cracking photo's (you never said you were THAT good). Glad you're having a blast and my fingers are firmly crosssed for you to see the Cheetah and Leopards. Might be in town soon - would be great if we could catch up for beers.
Take care,
B
Talented lil bugger aren't you Hey, I remember loving Udaipur when I was there with mum and Ben. That pic of rach on the cushions looks so much like the hotel we stayed at, although I'm sure there's probable lots of similar looking hotels. And I personally think your elephant looks pretty damn good, I might have even paid money for it :-)
Hope you're having a great time. love fi
Looks like fun Hey there,

Go figure.. Tan you are the only person I know that can talk about history and actually make it interesting! I Look forward to the next blogs!

Love the country side pics Hi, Arlington Row looks beautiful, makes me want to move to the English country side. Keep bloggin, I love hearing what you're up to. Love Fi
Perry=Pear Cider Took me a while to figure this out too but I can enlighten you now: most ciders are made from apples, but perry is made from pears and is a little sweeter (read: a little girlier and more to my liking!)
Love the stories & pics Loving reading about your adventures. Perhaps reading this particular story over my morning coffee wasn't such a great idea, but enjoyed it all the same. Love fi
question about tips and bargaining enjoyed your journal very much. I work at Disneyland and FOR YEARS Ive been planning to some day make it to Egypt. I'll be on a Nile cruise in Nov. Just exactly does one survive the culture shock of the tipping? And were you intimidated by the bargaining while shopping? :)

Oh My God! Hey guys,
Wow, you tell such a good story and the photos are breathtaking. It sounds like you're having so much fun, I wish I could be there with you! Hopefully within the next 12 to 18 months I will be able to get back over to Europe and finish the trip that I started in 2000. I put my discharge in again (despite being on operation in Timor at the moment) so hopefully I will have better luck this time and maybe I'll be back in Canberra before you know it!
Keep having a blast. When are you due home?
Love lots, Kimmie xoxox
