Troy, Jaqui & Axel SOME DREAM THEIR LIFE.......WE LIVE OUR DREAMS!!!!!!!!!!

Life is all about experiences and sharing them with loved ones.
So welcome to our new adventure (on the road)
This blog will have our journey posted from June onwards, next 6 months or more, all you gotta do now is keep up!!!!
Our mobile home will be a 4WD Hilux and a Jayco pop-top caravan that we will be travelling in.

We will be heading North then East, visiting frinds in KALBARRI, KARRATHA and BROOME on the way but also stopping anywhere in between such as MONKEY MIA, CORAL BAY, EXMOUTH ....so on.
We have no time limit, itinerary or route for our adventure, the plan is to see/do as much as we can and have as much fun as we can as a family.

Please make sure you leave your comments and messages as we would love to hear them....

We have now had more than enough of Darwin!!! Ready to move on. Troy had been taken advantage of way too much at his work so he told them to stick it a couple of weeks ago and quit on them, towards the end he was doing any where up to 10-15 hours extra a week and not getting a cent extra (but we do miss our freebies...coke/milk/water) My hours have gone down due to wet season up here and not as many tourists = not as many hours. So thank goodness we only have 2 weeks in Darwin left as [View Full Entry]

Well we just had Mar & Pa (my mum and dad) up for a surprise visit here in Darwin, they stayed in the park with us but in a villa (with aircon the pussy's) and were here for only 4 days which was sooo not long enough :( :( But we did have a great time and got to show them around a bit. Troy picked them up from the airport while me and Ax waited here and we just so happen to have gone to the "little man's room" and they drove straight past us!!!! but lucky Ax didnt see [View Full Entry]

I soo can't wait to see the look on Axel's face when he see's them cause we havn't told him and kept it as a suprise. This trip we were not looking forward to at all, going from Mt Elizabeth to Home Valley Station. It was only about 220km's but this was going to be along the worst part of the gibb, well so we were told. Well we were told correct, it took us around 6 hrs to do 220kms yes you herd right....6HOURS!!!!!! Most of which was in 3rd gear doing about 40k's. We have never seen so many people pulled over to change a popped wheel, or there shocks had been trashed. We had alot of people passing us as we were taking it [View Full Entry]

El Questro is famous for its ***** star resort where all the rich go and pay around $3,000 a night but on the other side we have the camping grounds where all us average people go. Here you are surounded with gorges, hot springs, waterfalls and fishing, but also chopper rides as well. We stayed here also for 3 nights (prob 1 too many) and got to see everything we wanted, they had a choice of the camp ground which was central or a private site which was about 2km away from main area and your site was about 1/4 acre [View Full Entry]

We stayed at a caravan park for 2 nights to plug in and charge and get supplies, went and had lunch and a look at Argyle Dam (not impressed at all) and that was about it for Kununurra. When we did our shop we did pretty good cause when we spoke to some fellow travellers they said the shelves were empty when they went the day after. From here we drive to Katherine in Northern Territory to have a look. [View Full Entry]

Leaving the state

I was thinking that Katherine was going to be just a small town but it was huge!!!! and olot of "locals" hanging around in the parks.... On the first day getting to Katherine we just passed through and went to Mataranka where some Hot Springs were and it was worth the extra 200kms return trip to visit!!! We stayed 1 day and on our way back to Katherine we also went to some Hot Springs in town (soo addictive) from here we headed for Darwin but needed a stop along the way so we drove into Nitmiluk National Park and stayed [View Full Entry]

This was our first station stop, which is on someones property that have a toilet and shower that are seperate to the main house that are for campers use. Some also take you around for a tour to show you just how the farm works....but sadly this one didn't offer anything. Bummer cause it would have good for Axel. We stayed here 2 nights and met up with a wonderful couple Graham and Gloria again so we ended up going to the gorge and waterfalls together and made a day of it. This track was only 10-15 mins away but took [View Full Entry]
