Those Beads?
Hey, you guys looking good and don't you love the Mardi Gras? Yup... and those beads sure do look familiar?? Could they be in the New Year's Eve photos too.... LOL! You really did the Mardi Gras the right way! Not like the carnval in Brasil, but still loads of fun!! Especially when with your very good friends!

Mother's Birth House!
Yes, I recall that Mother pointed to the front bedroom on the left, when facing the house as the room where she was actually born. The doctor who delivered her came to the house for the delivery. She clearly remembered it the day we drove up. We actually went to the door and met the man and his daughter who were living there then. I'm glad you got to see it and I'm super glad you found that it was the correct house that Mother pointed out to us. Keep em coming!

Thanks for the blogs Tom! You obviously had a great time apart from the 'revenge'. Never made it to South America -Mexico City was the nearest I ever got. Hil and I are both well -we now have our grandkids living with us after problems with their stepmother so our global adventures will be curtailed for a few years! Sarah is. 16 and James is 14 - crash course in modern day parenting. Love to Jackie - you know where we are. Cheers, Pete

Manicure/Pedicure Day in Brazil
Boy howdy, you guys are living the life!! And why not, eh? When you look back at all the long, hard hours you put in and the stress you had, you earned this and it's nice to be able to enjoy it with you! Mother would be proud since she use to tell you to clean your nails all the time... they were pretty grimmy back in the old days when you were swinging on the old rope over the creek in the back yard. It FINALLY stopped raining in Atlanta and the sun is shining so you can come home any time you want now!

The Kiss

Rodin
I forgot to mention that Lisa and I visited the Rodin museum while we were in Paris. It was a big treat. Remember "The Kiss"?? They had it here for an exhibition at the High Museum several years back. It was cool to see it, the Thinker and many other Rodin pieces in their HOME. xox P.
