Took a day trip to Brunei Darussalam today. The trip took about 3 hours by car to get to the capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan. Just outside of the city we stopped at the Empire Hotel and Country Club, one of the only 6 star hotels in the world. The place was unbelievable; marble and gold were everywhere and the bathrooms smelled nicer than any hotel room I've ever stayed in. If I make some money someday I may have to come back. First and foremost RIP to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Today is a sad day for the music world. I can still remember listening to the album Dangerous on tape. I hope that we can all remember him for the great musician that he was and not for the lonely man that he had become, portrayed so negatively by the public media. So the plane ride wasn't bad at all. EVA airlines hooked it up with some pretty decent food and pretty nice seats. Watched Taken and part of Watchmen. Borneo is hella hot and humid. We're currently staying in a very nice hotel called the Magellan for the night. Hung out by the pool all day and then indulged in an incredible Malaysian feast for dinner.
