The only sure thing in life is change. In my late-20's, I have come to the realization that the best life lessons originated from the most drastic changes of my surroundings. About 6 months ago, I left a successful career in a Fortune 100 company to gain experiences in a tiny social business start-up. My professional development was one side of this equation to change, but frankly, I longed to emulate the summer I spent in 2004 interning in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Most importantly, how will I survive without Facebook? In the last 27 years, I have had residency in 10 different cities, and this mixture of excitement and self-doubt has resurfaced itself every single time: Taipei, Taiwan New Orleans, Louisiana Houston, Texas Austin, Texas Ludwigshafen, Germany Dallas, Texas Cape Girardeau, Missouri Cincinnati, Ohio San Francisco, California ...and soon Beijing! I wouldn't call myself a traveler. I am just a firm believer in the University of Life education system. When you move outside ... read more
