The stone platform was placed there as a monument by the DAR and has no proven connection to a slave auction block. There was a slave market on Adams and Main Street. The pictures of slaves cells is also inaccurate. That is the site of an old jail and then the animal impoundment facility. |

| 5th October 2008 Maureen Driscoll | This was our first stop - From: Juneau Alaska Juneau didn't look like a state capitol to me. It took some getting used to. We did have an excursion to Mendenhall and rafted down the river to a pull out/thaw out spot. Fantastic and freezing! Wish I had gone to the top of Mt. Roberts; the view is spectacular. I'd like to know who insures that ZipLine company and start a boycott of both of them! |
