It's all GO GO GO at the farm at the moment! So its prime seeding time.. which means these next few weeks are about crushing rocks, boom spraying the paddocks with some sort of poison and then of course planting the seeds with a hugeeeeeeeee seeding machine. So aside from that, the past weekend was all about the sheep. They were sheared a few weeks ago and their wool was sent off last week some time, but now mr farmer has been fattening them all up with grain because it's time for them to go and become someones dinner. Quite sad really! We rounded all the sheep up which is quite a slow process as you have to drive around the fields and collect the sheep which basically means scaring them into walking towards the pens. ... read more

uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuugh dave has gone off for the day to do some stone rolling and i've been left here! BORED AS HELL. Just finished painting the house now i'm just sat doing sweet f.a. The farmers wife is in the other room playing a game on her computer.. the same damn game she plays 24/7 with the same music replaying OVER AND OVER. It's the most irritating tune, god knows how she can just sit there playing the same thing all day.. it amazes me! Ttfn. ... read more

Sat in the airport terminal right now! It was odd being back in Auckland as I stayed in the same hostel as when I arrived. It brought back memories of how depressed I was when I first got there! So much has happened in 3 weeks. It's been absolutely incredible here! It was none stop on the go constantly but completely worth it and I've managed to do everything I wanted to, and met some great people along the way. So last night in the hostel I was waiting for Dave to come online and he never did, so just as I was giving up hope and about to go to sleep he pops up! Not writing alot about ChCh tbh because it was kind of boring. The general gist of the day was being woken by some Irish people changing the beds, had some food with them, went online to catch up on Skins, got some plasters from the pharmacy, came back and met a girl in my room from London who had just arrived from Sydney and was all depressed because she was living there and had to say bye to all her friends and stuff.. it was the exact same situation as me! We had a lovely chat comparing stories, she actually worked in Base hostel Sydney and was now working for the same company in Queenstown, so was starting a whole new life here! Getting out of bed so early every day is so depressing. It's even worse trying to pack in the dark and hoping not to wake the others! So this morning I am leaving my fave team, and I didn't even get the chance to say bye to Cougar because I didn't go out in the end! My bus is 30 mins before the others bus. So once I'm done and dusted it's time for goodbyes.. it's SO hard! These guys have been my rock while in New Zealand and helped me take my mind off missing certain people back in Oz.. and now I have to start a fresh all over again, new people.. the predictable conversations 'what's your name? how long are you in NZ?
