Due to the late night at Disneyland, we got a bit of later start than we expected. Despite having to quite literally, drag the girls out of bed, we were on the road by 11am. While we were packing the girls grabbed their lanyards and headed to the gift shop & lobby for one last round of “pin trading” which was a huge hit with the girls. Well we awoke in the happiest place on earth and decided to tackle all the fun to be had in California Adventure. The park was not crowded and I don't think we waited more than 20 minutes for any ride. Our favorites were Soaring over California, The Hollywood Tower Hotel & my personal favorite, the California Screamin roller coaster. We did take a break so Rob could get his fill of the Muppets. WARNING WARNING - Late BLOG entry WARNING WARNING!! Ok so as you can see our blog entry did not happen until almost 9am this morning. Thats because the park closed at midnight and by the time we got back to the room and calmed down enough to write it was about 1am and Rob announced that we were getting into the park at opening time......8AM. QUIET ON THE SET!! We woke up this morning after getting some much needed sleep. We said goodbye to our island paradise and got onto our ferry for our ride back to San Pedro Dock. After a tough 9 rounds of golf (a card game) and a challenge, Kelsey walked away the golf card champion! Our hotel in Carpinteria offered a hot breakfast so after filling our tummies up we departed beautiful Carpinteria around 8am. We were headed towards San Pedro Berth #95 to board the Catalina Express jet boat to Catalina Island. We decided to take Hwy 1 instead of 101 as we were afraid that Hwy 101 would have really bad traffic in the valley because it was Monday morning. Well the day began with the sound of the ocean when we awoke. We had planned on a very educational day at Hearst Castle but we opted for a change of plans and boogie boarding won out! The girls spent a few hours on the beach before we piled in the car and headed towards Morro Bay and the Santa Barbara area. The day started out waking up and no one having a headache from the smoke in the Sacramento area Yeah!!! We went to the office of our little motel by the sea and made a quick grab of the continental breakfast. Now we all know that Kelsey does not eat anything that has "breakfast" in the name, so this will probably shock you but she ate 1/2 a blueberry muffin and some hot cocoa.....Shocker!!!! Day 1.... Well we started out a little later than we expected. The day started for me around 7am when I awoke to shoot up to the AT&T store and grab one of the new iPhones. I did not even get out of the car when I saw the line at the Folsom AT&T store was about 300 people and some had even camped out and setup tents!!!
