tRYING TO COMMENT I've been tryinmg to leave a comment for three days, but could never figure out how to actually submit one. We have been enjoying, vicariously, all your exploits. Glad to see you're having such a good time. Travel home safely.
videos Your videos are working fine - I almost get motion sick from the very fast water one. Keep up the good work. You will not only earn your Erie Canal badges, but your excellence in blogging badges as well.
Videos from Tues Hi there,
I did watch the videos, and either your files where huge or my download speed was not up to snuff. It was choppy on the first view as the buffer could not keep up. But I hit replay and the second time was smooth. Awesome rapids and their accompanying roar!
WTF explained! As a Yankee transplant, I would be willing to bet that this strange structure is a home-made school bus stop shelter. There are bus-stop shelters like this around where I grew up (more lean-to looking by us, especially on the rural routes, because you know, up north, they don't cancel school everytime there is threat from a few flurries! Bus drivers will not stop unless the kid is out there, hence the little window so he/she can be seen! I imagine the winters are worse there, not to mention cold wind and rain, than where I lived, so this is more grandpa-hut looking and enclosed.
Remind me to tell you the story of my father's first glimpse of the falls on our family vacation, unless I did already, I'm too old to remember who I told what!
Cool Sounds like a fun day. BTW since you learned something you can (and I am sure you will) use in your teaching, part of your trip is now tax deductible! Sweeeeeeeeeet. You know me - always looking out for my friends.
Love the Bonnie and Clyde look Glad to be following this adventure, too. Really enjoyed last year's trip. Must say I love the photo of you two. I think that's what we should wear when we become greeters at WalMart. Might encourage the shoppers to buy more. Then we'd get a big promotion. No telling how far up the corporate ladder we could go.
What a room I think you two hit the jackpot on the room, between the views and the 2 levels. I once stayed in a two-level place in Sturbridge Mass, no where near as plush or glitzy!
PS Love your Bonnie and Clyde getups!
nice pictures nice pictures of the falls.....another place i will have to put on the list for Lou and I. I am sure he is going to love hearing that. LOL
Glad to see you two have made time to appear in "Guys and Dolls" at the Niagara Theater of the Arts. Remember, you have to say "eh" a lot for the Canadians in the audince, and "ooncle" instead of "uncle."
