HI Steven and Nancy! This is your mothers friend Lynn from across the street. Hope all is going well for you during your final days in Costa Rica, and good luck on your transition back home. I'm sure the boys have learned a lot. Speaking of boys...my nephew is leaving on August 26th for a 4 month Semester at Sea and will be using this blog site to communicate with all of the family. Thanks for being our example in the world of blogging. Take care, good luck, and hope to see you soon. Love, Lynn

congratulations - From: The mother of all blog posts
Congratulations on your successful sabbatical! Our kids are now 34 - 42 years of age, and still look back on our time in Belgium as a highlight of their childhoods. We continue to be amazed at little things that come up and remind us of happy results of our year. We all learned so many different things about the world and about ourselves. I wonder what Kyle and Sam will comment on when they get home. Our three all noticed that the kitchen table and bathroom countertops were lower than they remembered. :-) I know it was not as easy as the blog makes one think. You are a strong family. Welcome home. Ruth

Try the Print Version screen - From: Another set of catch-up blog posts
On the left hand side of every post, there is a button labeled Print Version. If you click on that, it takes you to a new screen with everything laid out so it can be printed without all the excess stuff. Hopefully that will work better. Steve

wow! - From: Another set of catch-up blog posts
Loved reading everything. One of my dear friends who does not have a computer loves reading about your adventures so I print them out for her. She will love these, but sometimes everything does not print out, Steve, mr. computer guru, can you think of why that is. Now I will have to write out what doesn't print. Love to all, Grandma. I am still trying to figure out a way to come visit again. Have fun with the Minn. grandparents. I know you will.

WoW! Love the pictures and the update. Nathan especially appreciated the fishing pics and explanation. Was the fish good? Emily and Mara would like to know if you have spotted any flamingo's? It sounds like you are settled in and life is movin' on. You're taking outings and hanging out into the wee hours of the night. Sounds like all is well. Sure is hard to drive down Commonwealth Ave without missing the Struthers family. It's okay though - the blog helps tremendously....the updates are greatly appreciated!

So great to see your home and read about the ways in which you are settling in. Tom and I were in Miami 2 weeks ago spending time in Little Havana. that's our latest adventure. I am back in a small Spanish class with a Chilean teacher. its good but nothing like immersion. Muchas bendiciones sobre su familia, su trabajo y sus experiencias en Costa Rica. Susan Moss

hi guys - From: Happy Independence Day
Hey- Today was the first time I'd had a chance to take a peek at your travel blog, looks like you've settled in pretty nicely. Hope everything is going well for you. It was really neat to see your pictures. I'm slightly envious, but also very inspired by your efforts. Rest assured that all's well at the Struther's residence. Cheers from MN- Wade, Janelle, Dylan and Tyler

Hello - From: Happy Independence Day
Hi Struthers Family! I have just read your previous blogs. It looks like a beautiful country. Your house is lovely and everything is so green. I can relate to food items seemingly a bit off - I felt that way in New Zealand and Australia but you get used to it. I missed the orange cheese! I must say that it is strange not seeing the boys come off the Adams bus. I hope you are enjoying your new adventure!! And I hope that school continues to go well (once you really get into the swing of things). I am sure you won't have any problems with making new friends and I love the fact there are animals at school! Well the Vikings are not doing very well - I am very sad to say. Are you able to keep up with the MN sports teams? Maybe it would be best if you didn't!!!!! :) The Twins didn't even make the playoffs. I am going to the Vikes/Packer game on Sunday so that should be a fun one. I will keep checking in on your progress and look forward to reading about your experiences. Kim Hughes Discovery Club

Sam and Kyle, George and Sammy think your cat there looks just like Penguin. They loved looking at the pictures. Pita's favorite drink when we were in Micronesia was fresh young coconuts just like you're drinking from in the picture. We love following along with you on your time abroad. Michael and family.

Good Luck - From: Our final week in Minnesota
Hello. I just found your blog entry. I sent a private message, but thought I would post a public comment as well. Your blog entries seem all too familiar. Our family recently moved from North Carolina to Santa Ana ~3 weeks ago. The preparation for the move was exhausting. I secretly hoped to get a little R&R once we got here, but unfortunately it's been just as exhausting getting everything setup (residency paperwork, bank accounts, doctors, school uniforms..adventure, vehicle, house hunting, etc). I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Feel free to ask us questions if you feel we can help in anyway. Kilon, Monica, and Grayson
