What is it? - From: more pics...
"What is it? We spotted this at Yanchep... anyone know what it is - looks like an owl of something?" I emailed CALM in WA, and they came back with: "The bird is a Nankeen Night Heron probably with a damaged beak as they are usually straight. They are found along most waterways in the State and can be seen walking along the banks of the Swan at dusk. " I have lived in this state for 30+ years, and not seen one, I guess I haven't been in the right place at the right time... or just not seen them close up before. I live in Geraldton, and your pics are beautiful... have been to many of the places you took. Good job :)

Liked the picture of Mr.Som, tho owner of King Guesthouse. We stay there every time we visit PP because Mr Som and his staff are superb. Had many a drunken night on the town with his staff. If Som is not showering, he is eating...thats all he ever seems to do. Great bloke though

Hello Queen and her Butler - we were starting to worry about you but from these pictures we can see you're most definitely ok. I just thought i'd let you know that my brother's getting married in Kings Park at the beginning of 2008 and his fiance Sophie lived in Perth for a year and said that Rottnest Island was the nicest place ever! So luckily i'm going to get to go there too. Love the pictures - how jealous am i?! Suz you're looking too skinny, my royal advice is to stay on the beach and enjoy a bbq! Love you lots and hopefully hear from you again soon. Jo xxx

Australia at last! - From: WE FINALLY GOT HERE!
Well its good to hear from you both but we are somewhat amazed that you finally reached Austrlia, We were all coming to the conclusion that your 'traveling the world' idea would eventually turn into 'traveling Asia'! We are also extremely pleased that you left Bali when you did as we have all become very attached to you both and some of us are even looking forward to your safe return but as to who those people are we have no idea O.O - Cant wait to see the upcoming pics, keep us updated as it brings a little sunshine to an otherwise boring life! LOL! Keep safe and Steve, make sure you don't let Suz anywhere near the drivers seat of that van, we wouldn't want to endanger the kangeroos!

Woohoo!!! - From: Chiang Mai
we know you guys have been busy having fun and all but we think we literally nearly died with anticipation for your next diary entry! Those elephants looks soooooo cute we can't believe you got to ride on one, though saying that if an elephant every saw us coming we think they might mistake us for one of their pack, long lost cousins or something! Anywho you both seem to be having a blast and we are glad that Steve hasn't scared away all your new friends :D .......just kidding! oooooo and keep up the explorations!!!! Love ya xxx - Colin & Ash

Hello? - From: Lopburi - Phitsanulok - Chiang Mai!
Come on guys get off your bums and write another entry, who do you think you are? Travellers of the world or something? Too busy playing with monkeys and sucking on starfish meat to keep all the paupers back in England informed of the great Journey? Oh and queen you had better be keeping that t-shirt updated, we want photographic evidence of that in the very near future! - Colin & Ash

O.o i don't think they liked our last message perhaps its was the bit about selling monkies on e-bay...i mean how can anyone be offended by that? Anyhow, the jist of our previous message was.....ummmm....we can't remember, infact we don't think there was a jist and it probably didn't make any sense....a bit like this new message i suppose! ok ok we'll get to the point, keep ahold of your pants...monkies like pants O.o

ooooo monkeys - From: Lopburi - Phitsanulok - Chiang Mai!
Wow you guys aren't relaxing are you?! It must be amazing to see all these places but we think we would have been lazy and stayed somewhat long enough to sit down and breathe! Those monkeys are cute, perhaps you could steal one, selling those on ebay might help to finance your trip, you could even sell them to Hollywood. This of course would not be cruel as you would only be helping them fulfil their dreams of becoming the worlds most famous Monkey, after all its about time some one knocked King Kong off the top spot!!!! Love to you both xxxxxxxx - Colin & Ash

Food - From: Monkey Business!
You must be out of your minds eating starshaped babymeat!!! suz, i thought you would have learned your lesson after eating child meat in the mexican in leister square?? regarding the monkey's: dave has a joke for you, whats yellow and smells of bananas?.....monkey sick!! (note: that was tate not me- Dave) not sure how that will translate in Thai, but try it on the locals to show of the great British sense of humour. PS. We wonder if we may be so bold as to expect a smile (no matter how small) from Steve on some of the pics - come on man its the holiday of a lifetime!!!!!! miss you both loads, cant wait to see your next update, take care both of you. Well guys we are so happy that you are having some fun at last, after your last entry we were a little worried that it wasn't what you expected! However we am still somewhat concerned as you both look rather ill and at the risk of sounding like my poor old nan....please make sure you eat, we would hate to see you wither away!!! Loving the journal though guys and we can't wait to hear about the next place....its like we are there with you :p - Colin & Ash
