Please make contact - From: Sacred Lingas Turn Me On
Hellooooooooooooo As I spend many months of the year in Cambodia, I'm rather partial to those who have visited and share at least some of the same fascination with this country as I do. Would be very interested to know when you are next due to visit, if your sister lives there, if so where, oh so many questions actually................. Briefy, I am based in Ratanakiri and have some land there for future philanthropic purposes. Originally intending to fill a need in rural healthcare education/training, I've found the focus to be shifting towards providing opportunities for ex-orphans and tribal teens who need to learn job skills etc. If you would be interested in more background information my blogger name on this same site is Miss-dmeanour (travelblog.org/Bloggers/miss-dmeanour/). Actually was out there in January and returned last week from my latest jaunt. Now back at my Per Diem position at St. Mary's Medical Center in Long Beach (large Khmer population) befor heading out again later this year. Hope to hear from you.

How diverse! - From: The White Mountains, Owens Valley
Wow Steve...those are gorgeous! So unique...it's crazy that California has so many diverse landscapes! I love "The Sierra's in the Owens Valley are steeper than you can imagine!" photo which shows the steepness of the mountain side. I also love the "White Mountain Peak (4342m)" photo with the sun shining on the road. Neat! I was also impressed with your poetic and emotion-inspiring last paragraph :). Thanks for sharing!

one enormous carefully constructed circus act - From: On the Moto
I am at Riverside Phenom Pehn reading this wonderful entry, you have captured motoworld perfectly. as I finished reading this blog a moto came past pulling enough furniture to furnish a small bedsit, on top of this balancing act was one crouching dog, a live bird cage, and two more mopeds with the riders actually balancing on top of the mopeds on top of all the furniture....its like one enormous carefully constructed circus act. Perfection.

Incredible Feat of Balance - From: On the Moto
Throughout our time in SE Asia we saw all sorts of crazy things being carried on motor bikes and often joked that huge pieces of furniture must be carried this way too. Well here you have it! A great catch all around. Thanks for posting this blog, its fuel for our "crazy stories of Asia" discussions with friends! Well done!

valuable pictures - From: On the Moto
As the country progress , you won't see this in afew years time as thier economy getting better and they all want cars like china. i like your photo works ,.As a photographer myself ,you should visit Indonesia one day. Indonesia is heaven for scubadivers and alot of place are very remote and very still primitive and sceneries are wonderful especially for photographers.

Bring 'Em On! - From: Waiting for the Sun
Yiiippeee! I've been waiting with barely contained anticipation for Steve's incredible series of travelblogs on Cambodia! I can't wait to see how you convey the beauty and depth and energy that permeates life here. The dialogue about Angkor Wat was excellent! And my favorite pick is the panorama of the crowds waiting for sunset...now there is the REAL Angkor Wat! ;)

Rouge River - From: The Remnants of Mt. Mazama's Cataclysmic Eruption
Hi! Finally got the internet working and checked out your work, very nice! I used to live in Shady Cove on hwy 62 and rented rafts on the Rogue River, what a co-inky-dink! I took a drive up 62 one day to see what I could see, and didn't know Crater Lake was so close until I was crossing a bridge over the side of it. What a pleasant surprise that was! Well keep up the excellent work, and hopefully I'll see you at my next pet scan ; )

absolutely brilliant - From: The Trip That Started It All
The photographs & the experience are exhilarating! Weather change in Alaska-I was reminded of our sea-kayaking trip to Shoup Glacier. I was so scared that I vowed never to do it again. Well, now, almost 6 months later, at least I cherish the memory. Again, brilliant photographs! ugh, you must be getting it all the time :-)

to Yathiraj - From: Torres del Paine Part 2: After the Storm...
Thanks a million! What a great compliment. It was a fantastic 2 days of shooting in very harsh weather. If I wasnt alone could I have spent 2 days on a hill with 30mph winds in 5 degree temps and occasional rain? I love staying in one spot, watching the weather come and go- and in Torres thats a very easy thing to do with the weather changing so quickly...

Home! - From: Moro Rock, Sequoia National Park: November 2006
This are great pics of my former home in the Sierras! Yes, the trees are really that big -- and really much bigger than portrayed in the pictures. It is impossible to capture on camera their immensity -- just as with the Grand Canyon. I feel homesick for the Sierras just looking at these pictures... even though I now live in a forest-city (Portland).

Mineral King - From: Life, Death and the Metamorphic Conspiracy
I love your pictures Steve. I think you remember me, a friend of Jeff Briet's who went on a trip a few years ago to ????. The reservoir which was very low, and I sunk in the mud at shoreline while trying to release a nice rainbow trout. Maybe you remember I have property in Three Rivers, just a mile or so from the turnoff from Hwy 198 to the Mineral King road. It is a 5th Wheel trailer, and u are welcome to join me there (as base camp) on your next trip to Mineral King. Let me know when u want to go and I will join u. I don't know details on your bladder surgery or diagnosis, but it sounds like u are doing well now after the surgery. Glad to hear!!!! Going to the "Church" of the High Sierra is the best medicine there is! Best wishes.... keep me posted. Bruce Hultgren
