ooh neat wordplay pat. k. Mexico City is really big.like super double well big. theres 25 MILLION people in the city.its in 3 states.and its awesome. theres soo much to do in and around mexicity (that ones mine, winAr), more museums than there are people in Iceland and an incredible amount of history and heritage. im going to use a very limited vocabulary in this as everything here is really big and i only know a few ways of saying big.bear with me. Theres a real large cathedral on front of our hostel which bags bells all day.its built not only on [View Full Entry]

BUT theres like 2 pages of pix so lookit them instead of my words if you dont care. weeelll we got stuck in aweful Cusco,Peru due to $$ idiocy,it was bad.we wanted to fly straight to mexico but this is expendy so we thought it would be ok to just get the bus from Cusco (in the very south of Peru) to Cartagena,Columbia (in the very north). this is a LONG WAY TO GO SITTING DOWN.Ecuador also happens to be in the middle of these [View Full Entry]

Macho Pikachu

South America » Peru » Cusco » Machu Picchu
Not alot to say about machu pichu really.you are obliged by peruvian law to visit it and also the 'travelers code' insists on it so we had to do it.its not cheap but we're clever so we paid way less than everyone else in our hostel.rad. staying in cusco which is here primarily to get foreigners to machu pichu.so its well good. Despite beign incan and 'ancient' its actually only 500 years old. by now i expect ancient to mean at least a thousand years.i have high standards.ive lived i a house almost as old as machu pichu.win. the incas only [View Full Entry]

Copacabana is a small town where you go to see the isla del sol.theres not much in it except for trout and a cathedral. very pleasant town but its small and quiet. the cathedral is massive and Moorish apparently.inside is a huge gilt wall/altar thing which is awesome but i couldnt take pix inside as there was the weirdest mass going on. tape recording of some guy wailing and moaning and a dude on his knees in front of the altar acting it out. sketch. rented a paddleboat and made our way out into the lake a bit.its really hard work [View Full Entry]

La Paz is neat.i like it here.its realllly high up and has loadsa hills so im always out of breath, theres hardly any oxygen in the air.The streets are all old and cobbled and covered in people selling food and various crap, anything and everything is sold on the streets of La Paz. if you were that way inclined you could buy 2 pasties, a razor, some chiclets,a sewing kit, some water and a monkey skull for a pound. i actually just calculated that and its not an exageration. i know maths. so yeah. everyones pretty laid back here, no ones [View Full Entry]

oh my days. forget the last post i did, that wasnt even proper desert or anything, there were people in it.how naive i was. we needed to go to Bolivia and wanted to see the Salt Flats so we went from San Pedro and got this 3 day excursion tour thing into the desert.6 people in a 4x4, driving all day. for starters the Bolivian border is hilarious, its just a shack in the middle of nothing (this would become a bit more normal). Stamped through, feeling well good. had an excellent last night in Chile, went to some house parties and [View Full Entry]

There is not much in the desert. were in San Pedro de Atacama which is in the Atacama desert in the north of Chile. its realy hot and dusty and sandy. took 18 hours to get here from the nearest big town and it was mostly through the desert. nobody lives in the desert by and large and the only people we saw for a long time were in roadside graves and shrines, placed next to the burned and twisted wreckage of some car or truck.A few llamas scattered here and there broke up the scenery but they suck. Alot of [View Full Entry]

Santiago is well good. the 3 flights to get here were not very fun as we were nursing some hangoverism from having left the nightclub 2 hours before our flight, very sad goodbyes from some very cool people.its crazy how you meet randoms and become really good mates and then one of you minces off to some other country far far away and then one day you bump into them somewhere else until someone goes home.Luckily im super cool so i dont even care or anything. But santiago. day one, got off plane, ripped off on way to hostel (first thing [View Full Entry]

Melbourne,U.K

 Oceania » Australia » Victoria » Melbourne » Zoo
ok so we made it to oz finally, to melbourne which is about as south as you can get, its really south.theres a place a few hours from us called phillips island or something that has penguins on it.havent gone. havent really seen anything here, been very lazy and just sat about most of the time.its very expensive. and cold.in fact its very much like england.too much like england.its kinda boring in that way, im not seeing anything new, its just more ozzy accents than there are in btown. the architecture of where we are is pretty 70s, as are the [View Full Entry]

okay the Angkor temple complex is totally amazing and awe inspiring and jaw dropping and humbling at times.its huge and everything is insanely rad.you need like 3 days to see it properly but we had 1 so i have to go back, but what we did see was incredible. the wole place is in a national park and is comprised of Angkor Wat, the main cool temple (massive, not 1 building), Angkor Thom (also amazing and big) plus loads of other big temples, many dozens, huge, scatered over what must be at least 100km sq area.this place is more thana [View Full Entry]
