2 year South American trip. http://mebobandsurly.wordpress.com/
My brother is doing a 2 year bike trip in South America from Colombia to Argentina.
I thought I would share this with you and your readers, or just you.
Today is his first day and he has a wonderful banter going thus far. Weekly stats on cost per day. Tons of great pictures. And a story that is about to unfold.
Thanks.
Keep on biking!

Welcome Home Hi guys,
Congrats on making it home. I hope you are enjoying the southern hemisphere summer. I will miss reading your blog and living vicariously through your adventures. I hope that 2008 brings you amazing new adventures and joy. Would love to catch up on all the details if you get to visit Australia :-)

www.mytb.org/stephanieandcodyinchina (we've just started our trip into china and we hope to pass through Chengdu)
Where are they? Wow where are the bikes? Thought you two were homobicus; half human and half bicycle. Nice that Shell and Tim shared your well earned break. It is truly amazing you have got this far. Love Guy
Awesome Hey guys this is awesome! great to how far your having to go on your bikes! You better be riding every single km heheheh. Hope its all going well for you. So when are you riding to New Zealand!?
Baggage Sign My Romanian friend beleives that the baggage sign that you guys admired points out that the baggage handlers dont work between 8 and 10 pm.
Any way I hope that you guys will be back for Xmas..CHina is a biggg place.
Love yahs - and keep on peddling - homewards
Green is the colour of envy Hi guy's, how you doing? All well I hope. Just thought I'd drop you a line to let you know I'm still totally jealous of your epic adventure... You have some beautiful, beautiful photos... Baltic states look cool; I feel attracted to the kitsch communist legacy and relics, and also the endemic Euro-Asian cusp natural beauty and charm.
P.S. Was so fantastic to catch up with you both in what was now 2 months ago!
P.P.S. I have renewed that Russia book for another few weeks - don't cha just love services provided by the Borough of Richmond? ;) take care, G
Swimming pool AND jacuzzi!! You guys surely are living it up! Looks fantastic. Looking forward to catching up in UB (fingers crossed anyway). Missing you! Love Shell XX
Most of Europe fell of the face of a map... Hi, I've tried my hardest to help you guys restore your missing blog entries... can't believe they all disappeared like that, that's like taking a chunk out of your lives - and for the people sitting at their computer screens avidly following every step, or pedal rotation (hmm, not quite as poetic).
Anyway, have done some freak manipulation of google caches to try and help you restore your 12(!) missing blog entries. I have also decided to email you the text personally as well, so expect a long and random email. Hopefully you can find the time to restore your blog to its former glory - cos we love it! Take care, Gx
Great vids Great idea to put your vid on You Tube. I think i°ll borrow the idea and put up some of mine from down here! Keep up the good work guys, but avoid those luxury pensions - im worried theyll make you soft.
Glad to hear you got your backpack back intact. Amazing!
Thanks also so much for the postcard. It travelled all the way from the Czech Republic safely until my postman delivered it but didn't bother to drop it through my letterbox. Unfortunately it got soaking wet (we are having loads of rain here at the moment). Anyway I dried it out to read more of your remarkable journey and your kind words.
BTW your photos are superb.
Both take care
Love Guy
I'm so jealous Hey guys,
It sounds as though you're having such a cool time. I'd love to have done a trip like that. Oh, well, I guess there's still time.
I know what you mean about crossing the border into the Czech Republic. I did it on a train from Munich to Prague and it felt like stepping into a John Le Carre novel.
I hope you enjoyed Czechy Krumlov. It's a beautiful little place.
I'm probably heading over to New Zealand for a week in mid-July. My nephew Lloyd is living in Queenstown so I'm keen to visit and do a few days skiing as well.
I'm loving the blog so keep it up!
Nick
We are 2 kiwis leaving London and embarking on a long and meandering ride home. It is more than 12 000 miles! We are not athletes, just ordinary people who like to pass through countries rather than passing over them, meeting the people, experiencing the nature and the life. We will travel by bicycle, boat, and train. We hope to make it at least half way without taking a plane.
Some background from Nigel
Introduction:
If asked I'd find it hard to pin point how my interest in cycling began. It certainly wouldn't have been my first cycling memory, as a five year old getting my little ... full info
