We arrived in Colombo, Sri Lanka around midnight. From the airport, a group of very nice Sri Lankans from the school drove us in a bus to Kandy. Unfortunately, the drive was in the dark, so we couldn't see much. We will be staying at the Peradeniya University. When we arrived, it turned out we are staying at a guesthouse on the University. It is a big house, we called it a mansion, tucked away in the hills. I woke up this morning refreshed. I am not experiencing any jet lag so far. We met our chef this morning. I just arrived in Singapore. It is very hot here. We are in an air-conditioned airport. We have not stepped outside yet. We are waiting for the free tour of Singapore so I have an hour to kill. We took Singapore Airlines here. The plane was very nice inside, but not very roomy for an 18 hour flight! They did have individual screens for each seat, and you can choose from a long list of movies, play some video games (there were like 50 to choose from), listen to music, watch news etc. So that really made the plane ride go [View Full Entry]

Hello Friends and Family, It’s the countdown to the finals days until I depart for Sri Lanka. I have been so excited and anxious for the past few days. I tried so hard to not get sick before my trip, but I got a sore throat the last 2 days. I hope it doesn’t develop into anything else. I have been trying to fight it off with airborne.
