boo
I'll be stationed in Ft. Bragg, NC starting around July, so you can visit and knock 'travel to 5 new places' down to 'travel to 4 new places'. And we can dress up all fancy like and go bowling to knock the last one off the list. I may also be able to help teach you to do a cartwheel (but it may not be pretty).

Great post. Having goals, especially formed in SMART way, is a great method to really make them happen. http://www.goalsontrack.com

Chris - Quite an impressive list. Once you get the cigar identified, let me know and we can discuss it's merits. And motorcycle only has one "e". Love ya - Dad

He's baaaaack
Chris, Glad to hear from you in this venue! You should be a writer. While we enjoy having you as close (in proximity) as you are, I knew it would not last for too long. I really do want you to do what you love to do - and you are great at it! So plan well, and make it happen. Love, Dad

Typically Chris
A couple of comments...1) You cannot fool me into believing that you are going to shower nearly every day. I lived with you for a year and a half and you never did it back then, so I won't believe that you'll start now. 2) Are you kin to Jesus? I only ask because I'm pretty sure that your pictures of your leftover food from your Thanksgiving dinner show more food than the original spread did, which leads me to believe that even after four people finished eating an entire meal that the only way for more food to be present than when you started is for one of the four of you to be related to Jesus. 3) I'm glad to see the long hair making another appearance.

Love reading about your adventures
Hi Chirs, I am saving all your blogs for the future. You truely have a way with words and the blogs are such fun to read. Bill Bryson watch out, Chris McEachron is pushing you out. The pictures are great, especially the sea turtle babies! I am amazed at your Thankgiving Dinner!! Especially having all ready ahead of time. What amazed me as well was how clean and organized your apartment was. Can't wait to come and see it for myself. My love to you and Ashley. Love you bunches, MOM

Delightful travel partner
Truly, I wish I were on your trips with you (travel/adventure/survivorman-lifestyle is part of what makes you a delightful person), but I'm very happy to be exploring Leesburg with you. What a wonderful person to discover a new place with! You're a most awesome flatmate. I liked how you talked about walking away with a "clean" feeling from Mexico - if you get a chance, I'd like to hear more about that feeling the next time you write. I feel the same way about some places I've visited (feeling more refreshed once I leave), but it tends to be a cultural experience. I find that my interactions with other people makes me feel more serene. Without any interpersonal communication with local folks (excluding drug lords), how do you define your relationship with the community? Do you find that the memory of one course tends to run into another? Thanks for the response - Ash

Hey Chris - I was there and it still sounds like a great trip! And it really was. Take care of yourself the next couple months in Baja, and we'll see you (talk with you) in November. Love, Snake (Dad)

I love the Blog
Chris, I love the blog! You certainly have a knack with words. Bill Bryson watch out!! You definately cram much into the blog or should I say your life! I was thinking of you this morning on the way to work as my ring tone for you came on the radio. I had to crank up the volume and just chuckle. Have a safe trip. Love you bunches. MOM

You are living the life everyone else wishes they could live. I'm sure its not without its hardships, but I'm willing to bet any one of the many spectacular things you've seen in your travels makes it all worth it. Keep living life, man. You really are doing it right.

Wishing I could join in from afar...
Chris, there is no way for me to express my extreme jealousy. Here I am, sitting in an office cubicle in a city, looking at your pictures of absolutely sublime scenery (great photography by the way...feels like I'm actually sitting there in those mountains!) and feeling more determined than ever to set off on a journey of my own. What amazing adventures! You're driving to California, eh? Does this mean you're planning to swing through a certain notorious city in the southern end of Nevada to visit a friend? ~Alana

It's good to see you're still kicking, man. I enjoy these posts because I get to read about someone that gets to work outdoors while I'm stuck in my office doing 'engineery' things.... I think I'm going to try that hypermile thing. If you can improve efficiency that much in a van, I'm curious to see what my Sentra can do. Take care.

Long trip
Hi Chris, so glad you made it to your destination after such a long trip! It must be so weird not to have darkness. I hope you are able to sleep. Can't wait to hear about your adventures in the Yukon. Love Mom

I wish I had half the adventures that you do. I'll keep my eyes open for a job in the Missouri area.
