| 20th August 2007 Lyn Fraser | Seniors R Us - From: Frasers (senior) on tour! Thanks to you both for making our trip so memorable. We are sorted-you organise our trips abroad and Christopher sorts us out over here. We keep thinking of all the adventures we had and all the places we got to see and we just feel so lucky. We are still ploughing our way through the 'photos-well done to you two for getting the blog up so quickly. We loved exploring Brisbane and beyond (the GPO stood out when compared to our wee excuse of a GPO here in Elgin). Thank-you both for making me face my little issues re planes, boats and lifts head on-my therapist says that once I work my way through the post traumatic stress I should be OK. (Tee Hee!!) We are so glad that we took the opportunity to visit you and would recommend that friends and family sign up for a trip of a life-time. Using Aurora Towers as a base you are sure of wonderful accommodation, awesome organisation-just get up and go, gastronomic delights and fine wine. Not to mention the wonderful ambience created by the hosts. Get the Diary ready you two. Thanks for the memories-now we have visited you seem closer somehow. Be happy!! Big hugs. Mum xxx |
| 18th August 2007 Beth | Strewth! - From: Frasers (senior) on tour! G'day, Cobbers! Looks like a bonzer time was had by yall, I mean, all. Dagnabbit, I'll never get my accent right at this rate - I guess Texan and Scots is as multi-lingual as I can manage - Aussie is a dialect too far! What a magic trip it must have been; the oldies are full of praise and happy stories. Well done you twa - maybe you ought to abandon those silly jobs and become tour guides (-; Thanks for the blog; it's great to get the chance to be there with you all! Love, Beth xxx (-: |
| 28th May 2007 becca | so does that mean you are staying??? - From: A month between the coast and a hard place...... I am confused as to if you are staying or not but from the piccies and stories I think you would struggle to leave. It sounds like you are both having such an adventure and I am still very jealous...I think I might sell a kidney for the money for a plane ticket!! Glad you are having such a great time. Take care and will speak soon hopefully on the email. Miss you guys. Becca xxxx |
| 19th May 2007 Christopher | The Big Red One. - From: A month between the coast and a hard place...... I'm not sure why you went all the way to Melbourne to see the Twelve Apostles when you could've just gone to Cullen and had a look at the Three Kings (OK, so there's only three of them!). The photos of the Red Centre are reminiscent of the American Southwest, the Navajo Reservation in particular is covered in red sandstone rock formations like Monument Valley. The colours you get in the desert are magical, they don't call it painted desert for nothing! I hope the sea wasn't too choppy for your trip to St Kilda, BTW, I hear it can get pretty rough out there. ;-p Love fae CSF. xxxx |
| 16th May 2007 Jemma | fly net hats are the in thing at Ayers rock!! ;) - From: A month between the coast and a hard place...... Nice to hear you are finally seeing some real Australian dirt!! Isn't Ayer's Rock just amazing. I remember thinking how cool can a big rock be??? - until I got there are watched an amazing sunset (don't do rising!) turn the rock from orange to yellow to pink to purple. Stunning. The walk we did at The Olgas was beautiful aswell. We didn't stay at the plush resort of course but camped at some bar up the road where they did camel rides (cheap skates all the way!!) Reading about your experience makes me remember how much I loved Australia anyways. :) And reading about (not so) Great Ocean Road makes me smile cos we totally missed it out due to heavy rain and fog - seems like we made the right choice!! Good news Heather on the visa extension. No word from Canada I take it?? Seems like life down under may be forced upon you. It's the Canadians who are missing out if you ask me. ;) I'm jet setting myself at the moment - am writing from Houston - away with work. Went to watch a baseball game last night and am eating tons of Mexican food and melting in the 95degF heat. Have even managed to get invitied to an ex-pat's house for the FA CUP final this Saturday. Score. Glad you are both well and hey if you stay on long enough G and me might just get the cash to come join you on another TAKA dive trip. :) Miss you, Jemma xxxxxxxxxx |

Just had to have a peek and see if the new blog was up-have to run and get lunch before going back to the grind so just a quickie. You have spent your days off wisely by the look of the brill photos. We won't need to bother with our cameras when we come to visit (en suite would be nice) as we can just use your photos to chart our exploits. So excited to think we will be seeing you both in July and having you as our tour guides. Work must be bearable when you have always got some adventure or another to look forward to-we won't mention the sand boarding!!!! Great sharing your trips and seeing you both in the flesh. I like the pictures of the city at night, they came out really well. I'm hale glad you've got a nice place to stay (plush springs to mind!), good jobs, and friends to have fun with. The pictures of St Paddy's Day make me thankful that I'm a Scot, but I'm sure it's a good excuse fur a knees up! Do they put green dye in the beer like they do in the States? | 10th December 2006 Lyn Fraser | All that in only three days?? - From: From Helicopters, spikes and glacier hikes to hot pools and whales with magnificent tails! What can I say??!! Surely this must count as THE most awesome three days in your lives. Stop worrying about your photos not doing things justice-we get the scale of the glacier and more. How many people out there reading these journals have signed up for their holiday of a lifetime do you think? You just pull us all into things with you and that is great-just keep looking over your shoulder. Remember we gate-crashed Christopher and Beth's honeymoon. Really wish we could have been part of just a little part of your amazing trip but we have had the next best thing-your accounts and brilliant pics. Awesome!! Wishing you both happy days in the coming week in NZ as you round off your fandabadozy adventure. All my love, Mumxxx |

| 4th December 2006 Lyn Fraser | Atmospheres R us - From: Fiordland - The Sounds of silence Hello again! Now I understand why you sounded a bit spaced on Saturday morning Simon. You really would need to focus and think what you had been up to when you are both enjoying so many new experiences. What an amazing country, to be sure. There's no fear of your dad and I being bored when we retire because we have to see this for ourselves. Don't know about the kayaking though-I'll take your word and the evidence of the pics for that trip. Your pics are brilliant-arty shot very impressive as was the one of the trees with the sun glinting through-the rainbow was caught to perfection and atmosphere 1 and 2 appeal no end. Are you sharing the photo taking duties? The scenes are breathtaking but it is always good to see the both of you in some shots. Your camper van does look roomy and you looked very cosy, Heather. Speak to you again soon. I think it is just as well that you are keeping this blog as a running record of your trip with so much going on. I wouldn't want to have missed any of your fantastic escapades. Love to you both, Big hugs, Mum xxx |

Shame they couldn't spell Dun Eideann right....That's weird having hail storms in the equivalent of our June doon there, but then again we can get some coorse weather here at all times of the year too. I'm happy to see you're getting to experience so much good stuff during your travels, you're baith looking weel! Love and xxxx |

| 30th November 2006 Lyn Fraser | Love conquers all! - From: Lakes to the left of me, Mountains to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with ewe! Hola! I am sitting here with the Atlas out following your route. Further ahead there is an area called Cape Foulwind so don't bother getting out of your luxury home on wheels there. Pity about the weather but you are still grinning from ear to ear in the close ups so the weather isn't dampening down your quest for adventure. The wonderful sights you are seeing; the changing landscapes - and don't forget the penguins-will more than make up for the weather I'm sure. The colour of the water at Lake Tekapo is spectacular. You looked a real dab hand with the stone grill Heather-can believe that ithe food tasted great. That was an amazing construction behind you in the park, Simon-a little more detail perhaps when you come home. Wonderful to catch up with your latest trip and glad to hear that you are enjoying your camper van experience a little more this time. Safe journey onwards and upwards-are you going to fit everything in?? Love to you both. Big hugs, Mum xxx |
| 30th November 2006 Mum Marley | See ewes!! - From: Lakes to the left of me, Mountains to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with ewe! Thank you for taking the time to keep us posted. Brilliant to see you both looking so good, although a bit cold - I think it sounds warmer here at the moment!! All those fleeces etc will come in handy when you get back. Again, the blog is amazing and it does look so beautiful - I can imagine it reminds you of Scotland, not least the place names, as well as the lovely scenery and landmarks. I never cease to be moved by the scale of your trip and all that you are seeing and experiencing. Memories to last a lifetime and you are both making the most of every opportunity to take in everything you can. Well done you two!! Can't wait to see you. Much love and continue to take good care of each other. Mum xxx |
| 30th November 2006 jemma | sydney is gay...... - From: The Bridge, some drama, a few queens and so much more! Welcome to Sydney! Sounds like the beautiful Sydney has impressed you guys and that fun was made even better by hooking up with friends and family. That bridge climb sounds bit ropey if you ask me! Loving the I Will Survive Tshirt Heather - methinks Sara would also appreciate it! Particulrly in canary yellow with the accompanying pink feather boa!!! You could possibly add in the blonde wig from the Austin Powers fancy dress and create a whole new Heather! |
| 30th November 2006 jemma | penguins!!!!!!! - From: Lakes to the left of me, Mountains to the right, here I am stuck in the middle with ewe! hurray for seeing some penguins :D :D aren't they just the cutest little things ever. | 29th November 2006 Big "D" | Homesick Aussies - From: The Bridge, some drama, a few queens and so much more! Welcome to Sydney! Great Block, best yet, I showed it to a couple of Australians in the office and they got really homesick (God's own country and all that) so asked them what are they doing over here then..... It was great you met up with family and friends, you are both looking well. Take care and enjoy NZ Dad |
| 22nd November 2006 ISF (daddy-o Juan T) | What a gay time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - From: The Bridge, some drama, a few queens and so much more! Welcome to Sydney! WOW - it just gets better! What with all that water and bridges and ferries and then discovering COWS in a museum, you could have been on the Isle of Wight! What a gay time you've had meeting up with everyone - especially JT, that Manly Cudgee fae Eberdeen. He's such a Darling showing you such a good time - no wonder you were desperate to get opera Blue Mountains! For a couple who's never Bingay or into Bondi (apparently), you certainly didn't find the experience a drag (sorry HF) or get boa'd in any way! OK, OK, I know - that's enough - I promise no more! So seriously, I am amazed (and jealous!) at all the stuff you've done and are yet to do - can't wait to get "down under" one day and see it all live. Meanwhile the fotos are fantastic - you almost feel as if you ARE there and, as you say, everything seems so familiar! Looking forward to seeing the next leg in NZ and looking forward even more to seeing you in the next next leg back here in sunny Scotia. Take care and have a great time! Love, dad. xxx p.s. I was just wondering.............that Moon Market..........is that by any chance where all the Sydney bums hang out? p.p.s. I know I've got a hard neck asking for this (but I also know how thick-skinned you both are!).................................................................. I suppose a croc for Christmas is out of the question? If you can, bring two - the Mouri merrier! |
| 21st November 2006 Lyn Fraser | Busy!Busy!Busy! - From: The Bridge, some drama, a few queens and so much more! Welcome to Sydney! Wow! Was thinking about you both and just thought I would check out your blog site to see if anything had been posted so what a brilliant surprise. Here was me thinking you were just partying on down while you were actually doing the culture trail/nature trail/gay trail/bridge trail/seafood trail/art trail etc, etc. You certainly have crammed a lot in and how great it was for you to meet up with Jonathan, Rosemary, Uncle Hugh and Aunt Linda. Can't begin to imagine what it must have been like up on the top of the bridge-AAAAARGH!!!!I'm off to look at all the photos which have been posted now. So happy for you both and wishing you a safe journey to NZ. Gird your loins for yet another sightseeing extravaganza. Love you, Mum xxx |

Where too next then? Man U beat Liverpool today - hell yeah!!!!!!!!! |
| 22nd October 2006 dad and mum f. | rock around the crock! - From: Bribane and Beyond - Mooloolaba to Byron Bay Hi U2! Another great blog - how do you keep up the pace? Makes me feel even more like an old crock! Some amazing sights as usual, although I did feel a little kweezy after looking at the lime green t-shirt! Keep on rockin' and having a great time and making us all jealous back here in gradually-getting-colder-and-darker-early Scotland! Glad to hear all's OK with the keeker, SG, but don't overdo the screenwatching at work - of course not long to go now, lucky beggers! Love to you both and take care, Dad. And now a word from my better half - aka MYF! Christmas has come early-a pic of my very own. I am going to enlarge it and have it framed. Hugs and Kisses, Mum xxx |

| 18th July 2006 becca | creepy crawlies..yuck! - From: 2 weeks on the road You are both very brave what with the snakes and things..I think I would have to have got in the van (which is lovely by the way!) and driven straight to brisbane!! | 16th July 2006 Lyn Fraser | Where to begin??!! - From: 2 weeks on the road Another awesome 'blog'. ~Seeing you both in your wee camper van brought back happy memories of our adventures in the lovingly converted merc. These, of course, pale into insignificance compared to what you two are getting up to. Are you surprising yourselves with your adventurous spirits?? Way to go! Your pictures are brilliant - the scenery is breathtaking; your escapades take my breath away and leave your dad muttering "I want to do that" (He's on his own); and the self portraits show how happy you both are. Aren't you lucky that you have a base with Myra and Peter until you get yourselves settled? Good luck on the jobs/house trail. Dad got home safely from Romania - he sat this morning doing a comment but then it disappeared somewhere so this is the second attempt. Some things never change! Love always, Mum & Dad |
| 15th July 2006 anonymous | Fraser of Fraser (and Sheila)! - From: 2 weeks on the road G'day More amazing and wonderful news for us to read. You both look fab. What about 'U beaut' - couldn't miss it! Certainly a talking point! So many more special moments to record - not least, that Fraser experience and whale watching! Would love a go at that Jungle Surfing - it looked a lot of fun! Loved seeing your names in the sand on Cape Tribulation ( know what you mean about the name)! It will be good to park 'U beaut' for a little while and catch up before the next round of travelling and it is a wonderful bonus to be with family - lucky you. Enjoy your time in Brisbane and good luck with the jobs. Love to Myra and Peter and as always take good care of each other - missing you lots. Much love & God bless mum dad and girls xxx |

| 14th July 2006 jemma | nice van! - From: 2 weeks on the road Not sure what to say about the camper van really - I can imagine you might as well go the whole hog and wear a hat and badge saying "tourists, please take advantage"l!! *giggle* Please tell me you are not driving it around Brisbane!? Loving all the photos as always! Sounds lilke the road trip was fun although i note you never commented on whether you actually LIKED the camping experience or not..................? :) Hope you find work soon and stock up on the pennies so you can head off for more fun. I just LOVE the pictures of the great barrier reef - it is the nearest I will get to experiencing it and you really brought it to life!! Thanks for taking the time to keep us in touch with your awesome adventures. Stay chilled and keep enjoying the dream - you will never forget these moments. You are both looking brilliant. Take good care and continued safe travels. Much love and missing you Mum xxx |
| 29th June 2006 jemma | taka dive - From: Having a whale of a time in Cairns! You may not believe this but TAKA DIVE is the very company that the bloke who told me about diving the Coral Sea dived with - he booked his trip with them after watching a video of their live-aboard online, he said it looked too impressive for words. I would never have remembered the name of the company but you two can now remember it for me for when I finally get round to going to Cairns for some diving!!! Sounds like the dives have been amazing. I hope you realise how spoiled you have been - dolphins, whales and sharks are things some divers only dream of swimming with. This is truly the motivation I needed to remind me how much I wanna return to Oz to dive. The photos underwater are superb - let me know what camera the guy was using cos gary and I are interested in getting an underwater one. Hope the campervanning is going well. We finally sold ours to some bloke in Aberdeen. Sucker!! Can't wait for the next update. I am back at work now (2 days a week) and this blog is one of my motivating factors for earning money right now. Stay safe xx |
| 15th June 2006 eric clapton | Guess who went to an Indian hospital and got a pun-jab? - From: Trekking & Cooking Thai as I might, I can't keep up with you - you guys certainly have been cooking! So don't relax and bury your heads in the sand - enjoy your OZ-stretch! Muchos besos. |

| 13th June 2006 anonymous | *drool* - From: Trekking & Cooking Cooking sounds fun - glad you enjoyed it!!! And damn that pink apron is sexy!!! Funny thing about hill trekking - when you remember it back it won't seem so tough ;) Facilities rating = zero, food rating = zero but experience = second to none (well a few maybe!) :D You may be leaving Thailand but believe me - it is a country which remains firmly in your heart even years after you have left. *sheds tear* Enjoy the land down und4er and be prepared to front up a lot more cash than you have been doing in Thailand. And remember - DIVE THE CORAL SEA! ;) |
| 12th June 2006 Uncle Brian | Rainy days & sundays - From: Last stop Chiang Mai Remember the song? What can I say to you both? I know....I am green with envy! I`m delighted to see you are both having a fantastic time abroad. When I look at your lovely pictures it reminds me of the time Mary & I went via Hong Kong on the way to (or was it from) New Zealand in the 70`s. We still remember it as though it was last week and remember the humidity which got better after a good storm (a bit). Keep up the travel log because we love to see what a great time you are having. Love to you both, from the retired chauffeur (& wife I suppose?)xx |
| 11th June 2006 becca | very very very very jealous!!! - From: Under the waves You both look like you are having the best time. Very jealous but enjoying reading all about it ... feels like i'm kind of there! Love the underwater photos. Look forward to hearing more soon and keep the fab photos coming. | 10th June 2006 Lyn Fraser | Trekkers of the world unite! - From: Trekking & Cooking Who gave you both the nod that you were quids in feeding the elephants bananas? Hope you gave whoever it was a big tip. Your trek sounds very challenging but worth every bit of the blood, sweat and tears shed. You will both be so exhausted you will sleep all the way to Oz. What a finale to your visit to Thailand. As you say a country of many contrasts and wonderful experiences. Looking forward to you trying out your culinary skills on us when next we meet. Safe journey to your next destination. Love Mum |
| 10th June 2006 Lyn Fraser | Ponchos are us! - From: Last stop Chiang Mai So, do you only get various shades of pink ponchos there??! Must say Heather, your shade is more subtle. Another brilliant episode of Travels with the Frasers. It just gets better and better. You both look so happy and well. Your mozzie bites are not stopping you having a good time, Heather. Thank goodness. Those foot massages sound like a good idea. They would go down well in Princess Street. Enjoy the luxury of your hotel and your last few days in Thailand. Love always, Mum F |
| 10th June 2006 mum & dad marley | Two Thai Noddles to take away please! - From: Trekking & Cooking Aw, got a wee tear in my eye for you both as you bid farewell to Thailand - as you say it has been amazing and we have loved being part of it. Thanks for more wonderful pictures. Adventurous or what! The trek sounded quite a challenge but Indiana and Lara never gave up - well done. The food made our mouth water - keep the recipes safe so that we can sample your skills when you return!! We'll hire the Duffus hall and invite a 'few friends' for a 'Thai night'!! Have a safe journey to Oz and look forward to hearing from you once you are settled. Much love and missing you Mum and Dad xxx |

| 8th June 2006 mum and dad | Did you find Nemo? - From: Under the waves It looks so beautiful!!! Heather your star sign is Pisces so I'm not surprised you have taken to the aquatic life! You have both truly had an amazing experience so far and there's so much more. Remember what I said about 'life being not so much about the breaths we take, but rather the moments that take our breath away'- you are surely experiencing that - aren't you the lucky ones! It's so good to be on your journey with you -thanks for all your photos and narrative - it is really wonderful. Continue to enjoy and take good care of each other. Love always Mum and Dad Marley xx |
| 6th June 2006 jemma | fun fun fun - From: Under the waves aren't night dives just so much fun - bioluminescence RULES - such a cool and amazing sight. loving the photos - hope for more pretty fishes from the great barrier reef. just a note - apparently a lot of the inner reef is dead and / or damaged - whenever we talked to guys in the know they said to dive out in the Coral Sea - MUCH better coral and visibility and quieter too - you need to book a live aboard from Cairns though cos it's fiurther out ;) Just something to think about ;) Heading North! Will be more fun travelling on lovely VIP freezing cold AC buses...or the train maybe (?) - don't forget your cookery course - I am drooling thinking about it already!!! :D :D |

| 5th June 2006 Lyn Fraser | Amazing!! - From: Under the waves Way to go!! Amazing twosome; amazing fish. What amazing opportunities Thailand is providing and there's more!! You are both sooo adventurous and sooo obviously enjoying every minute of your trip. What a photo collection you are compiling thanks to the generosity of your friends and family. A set of pans would never have brought this amount of pleasure. The only drawback is you are making all of us at home very unsettled. Just as well you are so far away or some of us would be popping over to join in all the fun. You are doing a servicde to the tourist industry over there. Love always, Mum xxx |

LMAO thats too funny!! yeah for lots of rays - i adore them. underwater photography course sounds like fun - so jealous!! Gary took a bunch with a throw away camera in Maui after we tried (and failed) to get an underwater housing for my cybershot. | 30th May 2006 Beth Fraser | Poor you - From: Dive into Koh Tao Aw, what a shame you're having such a rotten time, it looks awful (ha!). Thanks so much for doing the blog, and with such fab photies - makes us feel like we're almost there (my fingers even feel damp on the keyboard from all that sea water!).
