America the beautiful Glad to see you out on the road again. Your photos have captured the beauty of that area. That was a BIG tuna. We'd love to eat at Fishbones Sunset Grill & Raw Bar. We'll have to add that one to our list. Happy travels. Glad to see you on the front page!
Fav Part of Florida Hi Dave & Merry Jo - that's a good question - we seem to favor the Gulf of Mexico side; but have had great times on the east coast too! Love the Panhandle - Love Sarasota (where we are now) - Love Tampa Bay/St. Pete - and heading for Chocoloskee (beyond Everglades City) for the third time so we must mention that! It's a great state!
You got it good! Were you anywhere near Cocoanut Creek? Dave owns a condo there. Looks like you all are enjoying the good life of retirement!!!! Sorry we couldn't make it this year... too busy selling and renovating homes! Safe travels. - J & D
Coconut Creek? Don't think we were near Dave's place! Yes, Wes has retired; but I still work and really love it! Nice to hear from you. LJ mentioned how lovely your new rugs are - will give you a call when we get home as have had the floors refinished and want new area rugs - where did you get them?
Vacation in Ft. Lauderdale We went with friends for a few days to Ft. Lauderdale this past summer and loved it! It is much more cosmopolitan that North East Florida where we currently live.
So enoyed our Riverwalk trip on the public taxi. And the ocean is sooo beautiful. Cant wait to go back!
so where is it near? Are these in the Keys? Don't remember seeing them when wecwere there a couple years ago. Lovely and great fun! We're just back from Australia and NewvZealand...awesome!

Welcome home! Not in the Keys - we fly into Fort Myers - take a cap about an hour through North Fort Myers, Cape Coral and then Matlacha (Pine Island). It is really a barrier Island on the land side of Sannibel / Captiva - not as fancy - not as crowded - I believe it is Florida's largest island - very narrow - probably less than 30 miles long. The strong points are not immediately obviously; but we love it!
Love this girlie girlie trip! I have not been to NYC since 2005 and I've been forever planning to spend at least a week there doing what you girls did. Thanks. I should really go. Soon I hope.
Have a good Xmas at home. We'll still be in the Keys through February, doing the three S's -- softball, snorkeling and seafood. If you get down that far in February, let us know.
Garnet Stables ( Union College) We hired Rudy Rodriqez as our trainer and will begin claiming horses shortly.
We are entering the game to reduce our income to qualify for Obama's $250,000 and under income. Am sure this will help for two years. Let me know if you guys have any horses you want to get rid of.

PS
we are in Fl already - will fly home for Christmas. Now in St. Augustine - then to Fort DeSoto (near St. Pete) then Venace and finally Pine Island (near Ft. Myers) where we will put the motor home into storage and fly home.
Joey's Hot Dogs It is a friend of mine, originally from Orchard Park, NY - his name is Tommy. Where fcan you find him in Sanibel or Captiva? I am going soon and want to see him - surprise him.

We are a couple, now in our early 70's, traveling in a 34" Holiday Vacationer Motor Home. Wes is a GE pensioner who just ended a 50 + year career, most recently consulting with the company. Joanne is a Public Relations specialist who runs her own "boutique" agency. Fall of 2015 began our 13th year keeping this travel blog. In the winter, we travel to and through Florida. We plan our route to include places of interest going to and fro and have included Williamsburg, Baltimore, Washington DC, St. Augustine, Savannah, Charlestown, Myrtle Beach, Florida's Pan Handle, New Orleans, Atlanta, Memph... full info
