August 2006 Sao Luis was a nice place to visit. Biz (hubby) had already been there once to visit and was actually anticipating moving there until we both arrived together this last time. I was like ...no thanks! It reminded me too much of Los Angeles but with better food and friendly people and better beaches, but something didn't click within to call it home. August 2006 Exhausted from a 9 hour flight from LAX , My husband and I stopped through Manuas for a day. I wish we would have stayed longer to visit the Amazon Rainforest but once again to save money, we kept moving. My first impression of Manuas was a good one. The weather was at about 79 degress with dense humidity but a clean humidity' that helps to sweat out impurities. We negotiated a driver for R190 ($80 US) to show us around Manuas for 15 hours. August 26, 2006 Greeted by a La Maison Hotel employee at the airport, I was really exhausted upon arrival at our (me and hubbys', I call him BIZ) destination. December 20, 2005 (It's my Birthday!!!!) So, me and my girlfriends ( D, Y and another Y) decided to take the cheap route and purchase tickets from LAX to Cancun, Mexico to get to Dangriga, Belize. We arrived at the airport 1:30pm (Cancun, immigration, passport, luggage, customs) uh oh, D's luggage is missing...."Are you sure? DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!!
