Coming back from the morning dive.
Hello again! So yesterday was another one of those infamous "lazy days." When I woke up, Todd, Melissa, and Grandpa were out on the boat hunting for some lobsters to go with the 2 Todd already caught. Luckily I made it out to the dock by the time they got home, and I got to take pictures of the lobsters (or "bugs" as they call them) before they were prepped for dinner! Grandpa is so good with the creatures! He can just lift them up no problem! Not going to lie, they kind of scare me. Grandpa had watched Todd prep [View Full Entry]

Fishing off the back of the boat.
Hello! So I didn't make a blog yesterday! It was just a really nice, relaxing Tuesday and I only took a couple pictures all day. When I woke up in the morning, Todd, Melissa, and Grandpa were going fishing so I decided to join in on that action. We got the boat out below the bridge and let loose with our fishing lines. Of course, I didn't catch a single thing. Grandpa was catching fish left and right, but they were all way too small to keep. After about 20 minutes, I decided to sleep (haha!) for a nice 2-hour or [View Full Entry]

Group shot at the sourthernmost point.
Hello there! So today was another relaxing day for everyone. Todd, Max, and Grandpa woke up early to do a little fishing around the canal. They didn't catch anything worth keeping. By the time I woke up they were already home! The first part of the day consisted of lounging by the pool--what's new?! After a late breakfast, we all decided to drive to Key West and do the whole tourist thing. It took about an hour to get to Key West, but it was well worth it. We took a drive around the island and saw the southernmost point in [View Full Entry]

Melissa, Todd, and Mom enjoying a lovely night at the Hollerbach's Willow Tree Cafe (the restaurant Melissa and myself work at! haha!)
Due to internet problems, I couldn't post a blog last night! I was very upset but hooray for today because the internet is up and running! I guess I should start from the beginning. Friday night was the first night the family all got together. We decided to go to the restaurant my sister and myself work at--Willow Tree Cafe. Thankfully we decided to hang out with the family and eat instead of serve. It was pretty fun. Everyone (except Max and me haha) had great German beer on draft, listened to accordian playing, and ate delicious German food. Saturday we [View Full Entry]

Max.
Max.
Trying to get Max up in the morning is hard.
Sorry this is a day late! I had technical difficulties trying to load the pictures, but it's all worked out now! These past two nights have shown no further ghost activities! Well, probably because I didn't sleep yesterday night (I was too scared haha). However, I slept soundly last night with no interruption. Maybe the Inn is haunted, I don't know, but I would definitely stay there again. It was beautiful and in a great location. The added bonus of possible ghostly encounters makes it all the more appealing to me! So, to start off our day, the weather was wonderful. [View Full Entry]

The Parents.
The Parents.
They had been waiting in Reynolds Square for Max and myself to come out and I got this great stalker cam shot.
So first and foremost, after I made the entry last night on this travel blog I decided to get some sleep. I didn't fall asleep for an hour or two (until Max was done watching TV and the lights were out). Right when I was about to fall asleep, like the brink of consciousness, my bed began to shake by my feet. It felt as if someone placed their two hands on the bed and was pushing it as if to wake me up. Oh man, I was soooooo scared! I tried to call Max's name, but I couldn't spit the [View Full Entry]

Finally across the state line.
We have arrived in Savannah, GA! It's pretty cool looking so far. When we got here, we checked into the Planter's Inn on Reynolds Square and had a little cheese and crackers! By the time we got out into the city, it was dark and scary. We walked along the River Walk for a while then ate at the Boar's Head Tavern--it was pretty good. The streets are really old cobblestone and the stairs are soooo steep. Here are a couple pictures! Tomorrow we are going shopping and sight-seeing all around! I should have lots of pictures.
