Well, your travels around South American certainly have been well-lubricated! Red wine, beer, pisco, it's almost like reading a commentary by Keith Floyd (TV chef, remember him?) but without the cooking. Need a bigger close up of the fabulous tango shoes please. Oh, and do they make you tango better? p.s. trust my sister to notice that the bloke's flies were undone. ROFL!

I didn't think anyone else knew the Littlest Hobo! There's a voice, keeps on calling me Down the road, that's where I'll always be Every stop I make, I make a new friend, can't stay for long just turn around and I'm going again Maybe tomorrow (Ok I'll stop now)

Thanks for your postcard, we now have it pinned up on our Fridge, and it is reminding Tony of when he was in Brazil. Im not too sure if the statue is nice or just eerie, as im not sure how i'd feel about the messiah looking down on me each day!! Cheers xxx

You brave girl, but i agree with your Dad no more throwing spiders and cups out of doors if you can come that close to a spider the size of your hand!. However it all sounds amazing. Squitty bottom!
Tas, drink some cooled boiled water with a spoonful of salt and sugar dissolved in it whenever you're squitty, it'll taste awful but it helps, honest. And clean your hands with some of that vodka before you eat. Close shave with those military types. Stay safe you two!

A little bit of news...
Looks like it is turning into a fantastic trip! I love reading your updates - when I get them it always starts off the working day - just like today. I think my favourite has been the salt plains so far. Just wanted to drop you a line to let you know me and Simon are expecting! All very exciting, and scary - more so because we have found out it will be they - we are going to have twins! They are due in August and I would love to introduce them to you if the pregnancy goes ok. Take care out there, see you later this year, Love Helen and Simon

I find one part of your tory hard to believe...
I have been traveling south America for about 14 months now and Peru is by far my most favorite of all the countries. And while I believe the average person is out right a joy I have found some of the richer folk not so pleasant. Anyway, I pent two months in arequipa, the only over priced cab wa the one from the airport and that wa the price the bost on their bogus signs. No one else charged me more that 3-4 soles ($1-$1.50USD) I could not complain about that. I thought the city itself was absolutely beautiful. I may make a recommendation. When traveling it is not always best to go to the most places and see the most things but to go to a few places where you can really get a feel for the uniqueness of that land and culture. I believe in the law of attraction... have ages before the secret ever came out... and I can easily see how you frustration on worry over the timing you had to figure everything out in Arequipa to get to chile reflected the initial cab experience. I really hate it when lonely planet misleads... but then again, I guess that's why I never owned one. What was the fair to the station 8-10 s/? Again you could have let your anger and perception of the taxis fuel the experience at the agency. I am about to make the same trip from arequipa into chile by bus in less that a week. My motto, arequipa wa beautifal last time for two months... why not this time as well for two days. :) All the bet, I hope things picked up in chile Chau!
