I swear 1/2 of Gyeongsans sidewalks are under construction. Biking here has been the biggest pain in my... I will be biking and all of a sudden the sidewalk will just end and in its place is sand. Ever tried biking on sand?! Then because it has been raining, the city had blankets, not tarps, but full-on blankets, thrown down over the sand for people to walk on. The teacher sports day was hilarious. We played volleyball and a traditional Korean game. Then we went and ate at a kal gook su ("knife noodle"... It is soup with long rectangular noodles, think Fettuccine noodles) restaurant. I had biked to school and it was raining, so my coie threw my bike into his car and drove me home and then to the restaurant and then to yoga. It was waaay nice of him. Today has already shaped up to be interesting and different than I had expected. I am biking to yoga tonight. I am doing this for a few reasons: 1) I want to see what it is like. I biked to yoga yesterday, which took about an hour each way. I got home at 11 and was awake for an hour. When I finally fell asleep, it was pretty restless. I woke up three times. I am not sure if I awakened all of this energy in me... if I am nervous about sports day... if I am nervous about presenting my yoga sequence on Saturday... or what, but there that is. Time is flying. Really really really flying. I'm just left breathless. It is the middle of the week already, but I feel like Sunday just happened moments ago. Yoga yesterday was sooooo difficult. Fingers crossed because if all goes well, I will have 24 days with my family (+ 2 days of travel), which is a grand total of 26 days of vacation. I have finally gotten around to writing the info down for my coie. For sure I will have 2 weeks to go home for renewing my contract and for sure I will have 7 days of vacation, seperate from the two weeks. I was banged : ( HAHA. So I look like a four year old. I am now officially 'cute' *^^* Bah. I was hoping for 'sexshi,' but the hair stylist had other intentions. Once again I am emerging from a fog. Yesterday I went to Pohang on a 12 hour fieldtrip with my second years. We went to Woosong and visited a nuclear power plant. Then we went to POSTECH University. It has a beautiful campus. By hour six my Korean comprehension was becoming shaky… When I finished yoga at 10pm, I could barely process anything. The fieldtrip began at 7:30am and ended at 7:30pm. I had no idea yesterday morning what the turn-out would be for my first teacher's yoga class at my school... The principal came to take the class, along with the nurse, my male coie and the sociology teacher. It was awesome^^ and I taught almost exclusively in Korean, which felt really empowering! I finally admitted today that I miss my family. I was talking to my mom on the phone and I just blurted out a recent series of events that really point out this truth.
