Ok Ok I know that I haven't been keeping up on this like I should. I just feel that being in the states isn't nearly as newsworthy as Korea was. I was browsing around my internet files and came across the link to my blog and thought maybe it was time I at least send out a little update...just y'all know I am alive Being back in the States has been really amazing and really sad at the same time http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/North-Carolina/blog-429318.html Leaving on a Jet Plane Hello to everyone Well it's getting pretty close to that time...the time where I head back to the reality that is the United States. In fact in less than 24 hours I will be at the airport waiting to board my plane. I will be in transit for about 20 hours but once I land in Chicago I will turn my cell back on. my American cell I will send out a quick text once I land to let you all know that http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-413928.html To Everything Turn Turn Turn I will say that this journey that I have been on for the past 11 months has surely changed me in ways that I didn't think possible but also didn't change me in the ways that I expected. I can say though that I will truly miss this place and everything Korea has been to me. As you all know I am nearing the end of my time overseas I will in face be back on America soil in less than 3 weeks time http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-408153.html Oh Insomnia.... I am aware at my complete failure as a blogger lately though in my defense I honestly haven't been doing anything blogworthy. In fact I spent the previous 2 weekends in my bed with a stack of books and movies. I didn't even venture out for dinner or food shopping Though that really had more to due with lack of funds rather than lack of opportunities. I also must say that it was rather nice to http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-403974.html Whoppers and Chopsticks I just wanted to send a little update your way...mainly because what is currently going on in Korea isn't being reported by the media. so now you have an inside view It seems that the country has gone up in arms about the 'swine' flu recently to the extend that they are beginning a 'witch hunt' of epic proportions. They currently have up to 51 English teachers being held in quarantine captive http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-402460.html I live in a country where... I live in a country where... You must be bilingual to work at most places....including Subway If it is raining and you are umbrellaless no less than 5 people will offer to walk with you to your destination so that you may share their umbrella. this also includes the convenience store owner who will gladly walk you all the way to your apartment People have their phone numbers attached to the http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-399484.html How NOT to Get to Everland Although this week many not hold as many pleasures as last weeked I have managed to wrangle up some tales of fun and entertainment for you. I will start by mentioning that I am currently on vacation from work and have the next 7 days to do as I please. However I also have about 50 so the 'doings as I pleases' will be cheap It seems that Youngdo wanted to change up the way they give us vaca http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Gwangju/blog-395198.html Can't Get Much Better The completed version Hello Hello and Hello Glad to be back on the face of the planet once again. I find it slightly funny in that ironic kind of way that if your computer ceases to work so does your contact with the world. What did we ever do before computers After showing the blue screen of death my computer just decided that life was too difficult and didn't want to live anymore. I dragged it around the grea http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-394228.html No Laptop Ok this is a quick update....real quick. I don't want you to all think I have gone AWOL or forgotten about you. My laptop has been sick recently and with its last dying breath it showed me the blue screen of death...well we all know what that means. I am taking it into tomorrow and hoping that they can fix it but if not then it may be awhile before I can update again as I will be computerless. http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-392056.html Let's all go to the lobby and have ourselves a snack I trust that you all have a glorious and eventful week...this way at least one of us has This blog may or may not be really short I always say that it will and then it never is... but I have exactly 142 won in my account until payday which is on Friday. In American dollars that is less than 0.02 so you can see why I have been laying low. Though you all know me and even when I am laying http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-387796.html At the Soccer Game Wow look at me...I might actually get a blog out on time this week...amazing Honestly I really try my hardest but sometimes I get sidetracked and this whole 'find a job' thing is also a little taxing on my time. Of course all of you loyal readers are never far from the front of my mind This weekend didn't morph into the disaster that I had imagined was possible but I had a lot of fun and http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-385735.html Back in the Saddle After a week lapse in updating this bloggythingy I am back in the saddle again. This means that there will be no more boring mullings over your morning coffee as you now have something of interest to keep you occupied. even more so than President Obama's latest comment Last weekend was rather uneventful as was my week. However this weekend and next seem to be shaping up to something of int http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-383520.html Spelunking Anyone I know this blog is a little late this week but I was otherwise occupied this weekend. Oh please don't think that I had forgotten about you at all. In fact it was quite the opposite as I was off adventuring in your honor Had I not taken the day off from all things 'bloggy' then this would be a seriously boring waste of space. Look it's a winwin However I will save the exploring fun for http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-380100.html Try Number 2 I know how you all get if I go more than a week without posting and I wouldn't want to upset anyone Here is anther weekly post from this side of the ocean. or you could say THAT side of the ocean...which ever makes you happiest And just to show how much I love you this is try number 2 as the internet ate try number 1. I hope that you are all prepared to be completely enthralled in yet ano http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-377646.html A Quiet Weekend Well it's about that time again. The time when I sit down to instill you with all the knowledge that I have gained through another week in Korea. Oh yes all that amazing knowledge...oh wait...I don't think I have any of that this week. Seems that it's going to be another 'list' post. We'll call it 20 Random things I wanted to say about Korea...yes that's a good name1. Let's get right to it thenThis http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-373806.html The Call Check it out Hello darling friends and readers and welcome to yet another riveting installment of the disaster that is my Korean life Ok actually it isn't any more of a disaster than it was last week when I was in a sling but it's just fun to say. Speaking of the sling and the arm you will all be pleased to know that I am on the road to recovery. It's apparently a slow slow process...who knew There i http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-371445.html A Short Story The Medic Nothing beats a Tuesday afternoon post...especially since that means that I have the day off from work in order to be typing this right now That being the case I am sure that you can all imagine how happy I am. I say this every week but boy does this intensive schedule wear me out. I am winding down with my classes which is a good thing...I can't take much more of this early morning thing. I http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-367548.html Heart and Seoul It's that time of the week again That time where all the family gathers around the computer for an update in the life of Michelle Ok ok I am not so selfcentered as to think that you are all just waiting with bated breath for me to post my next blog. but it doesn't hurt to pretend sometimes Anyhow I know there wasn't a blog last week and I can really only attest to the fact that I am lazy http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-364642.html Cheers Ok this is going to be a short one...but I wanted to take a moment to brag. I mean I know I am always so modest...haha ok ok I get it...personality flaw Anyhow I have officially hit the 10k mark in my training. To celebrate I had ice cream for dinner I mean after running 10k one deserves a treat...right Ok that's it...CRIM here I come http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-360647.html
