If I'd been keeping up to date on Liza's hugely successful LizaWasHere blog I might've realized that she's been linking to us here. Needless to say we kinda lost our travel blog momentum over the 2nd half of our trip this past summer. By the time we realized that we'd fallen off th http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Georgia/Atlanta/Midtown/blog-110374.html Announcements and "Howdy" from MandanBismarck Kate here...We have GOBS of pictures from Glacier that we owe you. It was amazing. To give you some perspective we woke up at 6am the morning we left so that I could get some pictures of the sunrise over Lake McDonald where we were camped and I squeezed off 84 shots within 45 minutes while Shay wondered where I was and packed everything all by herself 0...Alas there is no time for upload http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/North-Dakota/blog-78014.html Past the halfway point Shay here from a hotel room in Missoula MT. We are relaxing in relative luxury for a night before heading up to Glacier tomorrow. We have to drop the dogs off for a stay at a kennel since they are not allowed in the park. They are not excited about it as is evidenced by the fact that they are both pouting on the hotel room floor. I think they can smell the bath water coming kind of like h http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Montana/Missoula/blog-75836.html Pile 'o Pictures...will have to wait Kate here again...Not enough time to get the pictures up Sorry y'all. Kate here...We're winding down our last week here with my Mom in Honeydew. This past Saturday evening we finished our 4 day3 night backpacking trip down the Lost Coast. The weather was perfect we barely saw anyone and aside from a couple of blisters and some sore muscles managed to trudge our way down the coast with no problems or injuries. We saw an otter lots of sea lions and no bear http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/California/Petrolia/blog-73130.html Home sweet home Kate here again...Just checking in to give a shout out to our blog peeps. We don't have any new pictures just yet though we took a few down at the beach at the mouth of the Mattole River. Shay is up the street with the dogs at a PetCo trying to find some paw protection for Emma G. She was tenderfooted after our hike yesterday.Hu http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Arizona/blog-68220.html New Mexico and Phase 1 of Arizona Kate here...We weren't originally planning on stopping for the night in New Mexico but Palo Duro Canyon in Texas proved to be unworthy of two nights at least to the 4 of us.So we found a few lakes near I40 in New Mexico that looked like they might offer some decent camping. Santa Rosa Lake was the first stop but it was not much to see. The primitive camping was far away from the water and ha http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Arizona/Petrified-Forest-National-Park/blog-67516.html Trials and Tribulations Shay here sitting in a KOA campground in Holbrook AZ. This place has the works Free wifi showers a pool. We are in heaven. And no bugs It's hot but that's to be expected in a desert I guess. The big todo today was that Kate woke up this morning covered in a poison ivy rash. Poor thing. So she spent the day trying not to scratch and rinsing herself off with special soap every chan http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Arizona/Petrified-Forest-National-Park/blog-67336.html Flies time when you're having fun Kate here...I'm sitting in the corner of a Starbucks in Amarillo using their wifi because some of the 5000 different cords for our various gadgets are in a state of limbo somewhere in the car. And I seem to have started some bruhaha about using Treos to get online with a laptop. Sorry about that. I had no idea it was an issue and just had a couple of technical questions So I looks like we http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Texas/Amarillo/blog-67027.html The Laws of Physics Shay here...This is to all those Earthlinkers out there THANKS ALOT And that's all I have to say.Okay maybe I have a little more to say. The owners of this private creekside property have operated a very cool camping experience for women since 1979.Sadly we were not very good about taking pictures but I managed to grab a few of Shay and Emma G.The weather was http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Georgia/Dahlonega/blog-62838.html Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Part 1...
