Well after waking and heading out of the room for 9am, we spend 2 hours searching and asking in all the guesthouses to find that either they were still full or only had air con rooms available which were out of our budget. Therefore at 11am we headed back to our accom with our tail between our legs and paid for another night. Looking at the room after a good night's sleep and in the sunshine, it's actually not that bad - at least it's clean. Well the transfer to Phi Phi was alot better than the one to Phuket, if it wasn't for the rain! Got picked up at 9am, taken straight to the harbour and got on a big open top boat over to the Island. All was fine and people were even sunbathing until we were almost there, with the island in sight and the heavens opened! Woke up and still had a sore throat, but it's feeling a bit better than it was so thats always a plus. Got into our bikini's and then it was beach time! Really looking forward to chilling out but when we got there it was just like any other beach in any other tourist spot in the world - rows and rows of sunloungers, old women with their boobs on show, jet skies the works. Feeling a little more refreshed (although it wasn't the best nights sleep and my throat is killing me for some reason) we get up and leave the room to explore Phuket Town. According to the Lonely Planet, the only things to see here is the day market, some Chinese Shrine and the On On Hotel where they actually filmed scenes for the beach (and not in Kho San as the film says). Got up at 10am and delighted to find that the bathroom had not been completed flooded by the leaking toilet hose - always good! Finished throwing our clothes in our bags, then before we knew it the time was 12 midday and our coach was waiting to take us to Phuket. We were aware that it was going to be a 9 hour journey, however as all the previous journey's we had been on have been pretty straight to the destination, we figured that we'd be able to sleep most of it on the coach. Woke this morning to it absolutley throwing it down with rain outside - nice when your going to a beach party that night! Decided to use the time usefully and went to blog, however only left the room at 1pm due to faffing. retruned to our room at 7pm to get ready for our collection at 8pm. Oh Noooooooooooooooooo! After 1 hours sleep, we threw on our bikini's and waited for our collection, all looking very attractive with our sunglasses stuck to our faces! The coach ended up being an hour later, which was annoying as we could have had extra sleep, but we managed to arrive at the pier just in time to grab a piece of toast from the free breakfast bar before boarding our Speedboat to Ko Tao. Spent another wonderful day on the beach then decided as we were staying longer, we'll make the most of our time here and book another trip snorkelling and diving (for Di) at Koh Tao. Whilst coasting the tour shops we bumped into Rebecca who is going to come with us, so we managed to book ourselves on a speedboat trip tomorrow, being collected at 7am - ouch. Picked up at 9am in an open top jeep - this is going to be fun! After collecting a few other people we head off to our first sight of the day - The Grandmother and Grandfather Rocks in Hat Lamai. These are basically rude looking rocks that look like certain parts of a man and woman - and they are all natural not man made which is quite impresive! Nope, still not bored of Sunbathing! After waking early thanks to a quiet night in, we had breakfast and was in our usual spot by 10am - a record for us! At 5pm we returned to our rooms to shower and change. We decided to try and shop for some of our presents tonight as the quality of goods seem better here than in Bangkok.
