Hello all, Afer Amritsar, we have arrived to Rishikesh which is a nice spiritual town on the Ganga river. I have been there before but I liked to come and visit again. However, it is very touristic. When you enter a resturant, it is the same as sitting in a resteraunt in Israel, almost only Hebrew is heard. Hi, After leaving Lee (the Taiwan woman) in McLeod, we continued with the holy mission of adopting a single non-Israeli backpacker. On the bus to Amrtiser, we have gathered with Traver. Comparing to our diffculties to communicate Lee (she knew very little English), our commuinication with Traver was much more fluent. Well, he is from the USA and he does know some English. It is very unique to find an American backpacker, they hardly travel. He is a really nice guy, and of course, since he travels, not a typical American. Hi, Today is our 5th and last day in Mcleod Ganj. It is located in the Himalaya mountains, the views here are magnificent. It is the exile residence of the HHDC (His Hinece Dali Lama). 99% of the tourists here and in the sorrounding villages are Israelies. The trend here is to take spiritual courses such as Yoga, Reiki, Meditation, Tibetian cooking (spiritual as well? maybe...), massage, even knitting (is it back?). Hi All, The 10 hours connection in Istanbul seemed, at first, to be promising. However, after only 3 hours sleep at the former night, those 10 hours would appear to be difficult to pass. My first stop was the Hagia Sophia church that people say it is beautiful. It might be buetiful - but closed. 2nd stop was the Blue Mosque - beautiful and open. 3rd stop was the Topkapi palace- probably beautiful as well, as people say - but very long que for tickets so I quit this place and went down to the bay. Hi, On the last weekend, I have travelled to south Texas. First stop was Austin where I have spent the night. Austin has great night life, nice pubs, etc. In one of the pubs, I watched a bluz performance which was really nice. A couple from Forth Worth "adopted" me. They were very much impressed that I have travelled on my own, a piece of cake for me. They were quite drunk and made me drunk as well by buying me more drinks.
