We woke up in Port Augusta on the morning of Day 20 and headed directly to The Wadlata Outback Centre. This is an Exhibition Centre in the middle of Port Lincoln and the Information Centre is attached hence why we went straight there We find them a fantastic outlet for finding out whats worth visiting in the locale. The Exhibition to its credit was fantastic and we spent a good couple of ours

We arose in Port Lincoln on Day 19 after the best nights sleep that Id had on the journey so far Not once did I wake up tossing and turning and Colman agreed that it was one of the best nights sleep hed had also. We cleaned up made breakfast took down the tent and headed into Port Lincoln to see the sights. It was a complete letdown to be honest as there was very little to do there s

Ha A comfortable nights sleep Probably the worse nights sleep Ive had since we hit the road I dont know what it was but Colman was the exact same. We were by the beach but in fairness it was as calm as Ive seen the sea in Australia and there was no wind. It wasnt particularly cold or noisy. It was just uncomfortable for some unknown reasonAnyway rant over. Streaky Bay is a n

Day 17 of our adventures and we were up bright and early again or so we thought There must have been 20 caravans at the Nullarbor roadhouse that night and all were gone by the time we were showered and had the campsite downWe hadnt far to go before we reached out first destination of the day anyways The Head of Bight was only about 20 kms from where we slept and that was where we went fi

Day 16 started out much similar to Day 15 but without any speeding fines We woke up took down our site and left Cocklebiddy. It was to be another day of getting towards South Australia. The first place we stopped Madura Pass where we had a view of Roe Plains basically nothingness. You could see for miles in front of us with nothing only barren land. We met a nice Aussie couple there who gave us

We woke up in Norseman on Day 15 and it was time to start across the Nullarbor. The Nullarbor is a large sheet of limestone that stretches for hundreds of kilometres and its literal meaning is No Trees. It was a fine clear day and a good day to travel the straight roads of WA.Not 30 kms outside of Norseman and low and behold the blues and twos were in the rear view mirror First and ho

I woke up this morning and the first thing I did was make sure I was still alive. Sweet no crazy axemurderer had killed me during the night I looked over and Cole was asleep still holding a hurley in one hand and his penknife in the other he sleeps by the door. Great I thought he wasnt dead either. Better get up and do something so then.We ate an uneasy breakfast as the other lad was up an

On awaking on Day 13 of our trip we were greeted the sound of rain pelting of the tent. A lovely start to the day and it was to be our first time taking down the tent in the rain. We got lucky though and inbetween a couple of breaks in the rain with got the campsite down said our goodbyes to the couple in the caravan next to us who gave us an 8 cent off voucher for petrol at Coles and a bag ful

More sightseeing was on the agenda for day 12 of the tour but today was more about Historic AlbanyWe rose early and headed down to Albanys waterfront which was the sight of the first landing of the British. First place we went was The Old Gaol or Cork City Gaol as I was calling it. The gaol was very interesting again telling us of the history of the place and some of the prisoners that

Day 11 of our tour and we woke up in Albany once again. We decided to do a bit of sightseeing today and the first place we visited was The Old Whaling Station. The Whalers in Kilbrittain would have been proud once again. The Whaling Station was situated about 20 kilometres out of town in an area known as Frenchmans Bay. It was a pity the weather was desperate as I reckon the place would h

Sunday morning like so many before them we a groggy affair 12 o clock it was when I awoke and when I asked Colman the time I couldnt believe it. We had planned to go fishing that morning and then go to a local AFL match. Fishing was defiantly out the window as the reserves kicked of a 12 and the first team at 2. So by the time we had showered and had the breakfast it was after 2 before we g

Day nine was another day with not much to report. We had decided the day previous that we needed a day to do laundry stock up on essentials plus a few minor things that wed forgotten like a serving spoon for the Tex Mex and a window cloth for the Seaside Rover Coley did some maintenance to the car while I updated the blog It takes a bit of time mind. Colman reminded me of Liam Ryan as he dr

Day 8 of the tour and it was all about trees today. We hit the road early from Alexandra Bridge for fear that the caretaker might catch us for 8 dollars a head. We drove about a hundred kilometres to the small town of Pemberton which is an inland town surrounded by National Parks. Our aim for the day was to climb to the top of Glouster Tree which was only about 5 kilometres outside of Pemberton.

Day 7 had dawned and we were very pleased with the new tent It was perfect exactly what we wanted No more worries about getting drowned during the night anyways and the tent came down ten times quicker than it went up as well good spirits all round. Into The Seaside Rover only to find the battery was dead Now at this point I should hold my hands up and mention that I had my phone charging in

Awaking to the sound of the ocean crashing against the rocks on Day 6 we quickly got up showered cooked a hearty breakfast of beans and bread and flattened the campsite. About two kms from where we had camped were Niglgi Caves First tour was at 10.30 and sure enough we were ten minutes late for that so we had to wait another hour an hour for the next one We were quite excited to see these cav

The pair of us it could be said maybe overindulged in Fremantle the night before. We were possibly celebrating the purchase of our new car or maybe Colman was introducing himself slowly to the Aussie way of life again after his stint in the Philippines. Either way Day 2 started off wit
