Life in Pattaya is still good.....diving everyday and its Saturday night whenever you want it to be. I wake up every morning knowing its November and still its a little bit surreal, knowing it so hot outside and my days activities will be on a boat soaking up the sun between diving in nice warm seas. I have been kept busy and not had as many pleasure dives as I might have liked as myself and three friends have just taken a course in Emergency Response Diving. The course is outlined at the following site and its not a recreational course [View Full Entry]

Nitrox Spec, Search and Recovery Spec, Wreck Spec, Deep Spec and I have just completed my Rescue Diver course I will now start my Divemaster training which I intend to complete over the next two months or so. The Nitrox course was great and a lot of fun as you learn alot about partial pressures and the laws of diving gases [View Full Entry]

Its been a month in Pattaya already so it was time to leave the country for the obligitary Visa run I had to visit the Thai embassy in another country so where better than K.L. I was trying to get a extended visa that would stop me having to do Visa runs. I invited Nicky who is as strange as this may sound my best friend out here in Pattaya spending nearly every day with someone sometimes for 15 hours a day makes you very close quickly. Nicky was unsure whether to come as she is about to sit her IDC [View Full Entry]

Hello Everybody, how are we all? I was happy to see so many responses to my first entry on my diary! Well, been here two weeks now and it is becoming easier to adjust to life without family and friends around. I miss being able to pick up the phone and talk to you all. I have been diving 6 days a week, clocking up 12 dives a week so I am keeping busy and not spending alot of money, except on my days off, which are always a challenge to find something to do cheap. I have dived HTMS KHRAM, [View Full Entry]

Just a little update to say that I have booked my ticket to go and I am leaving on 1st September to go to Bangkok where I will be making my way to Pattaya to start my diving instructor training. I am fairly nervous but very excited all the same I never thought back when this idea started that I would see this day becoming a reality but it is and I am wondering what the future holds for me. In the end I have plumped for a year open ticket with a flight included to go to Sydney and then [View Full Entry]

Started off with the mad idea of hitchhiking to Taunton but soon gave that idea up as I looked rather suspicious with my two rucksacks so thought maybe I might have a hard job convincing someone I was friendly. So caught the train down down to Taunton to see "Mad Mike Phillips" Jackee "Queen of Taunton Deane" Phillips they are two of the most friendly, welcoming and generous people I have met in a very long time. Nothing is a hassle and what scrumpy is theres is yours also!. So after a couple days at what should be a reality tv [View Full Entry]

Magaluf with the lads. Well what can I say about this place loads of cheap booze, lovely beaches and so so so many Brits it is untrue. I cannot wait to get away to Thailand even more now, I met loads of people that had travelled so it was nice to talk to people that had experienced what I am going to and pass on a few hints. I cannot tell you too much about local life scenery or local culture as it is what it is over there it was a booze fest, but there were some very nice excursions [View Full Entry]

Well its been a fun few weeks since my last update…I move out of my house this Sunday 24th July 2005 I guess this is where it all starts. First Stop Magaluf with Simon, Craig, Rob going for a week of relaxation, meditating and drinking green tea all week. (Honest) The last few weeks has been a bit of a stressful time boxing up or selling material items you have worked so hard to accumulate is emotional and surprising as it becomes more and more obvious that you do not need that much junk and possessions to actually survive and live. Trafalgar 200
Trafalgar 200
History in the Making
Well my diary of adventures is pretty stale at the moment so I thought I would take this oppurtunity to write a little entry to ease my mind. I am hopefully exchanging on Wednesday 6th July and this could be the day my plans start turning into a reality and not just a thought or pipe dream. I was at the Trafalgar 200 celebrations with some friends the other night and I bumped into a couple people I had not seen in a while told them my plans etc and they loved it. You either know two type of people those [View Full Entry]
