So Barcelona was very nice. A bit too much Gaudi for my taste. His stuff is kind of a let down when you finally see it up close. But I got to see the Barcelona Pavilion which is the most awesome flippen thing ever. And some other cool stuff. All in all im a very happy person. Im leaving for Cinque Terre tonight for... well i dont know how long and I still dont know after that. But I miss you all and Ill put some more pictures up on myspace when I can. ... read more
So this whole picture thing is apparently not going to happen on this blog. Sorry people. But every time I try to upload one my internet freezes and I have to end the program. I've tried like 10 times. I'll put some on myspace. Just find someone to show you them... Oh yea. An aside before I go into my awesome day. I had a CONVERTER/ adapter. The big box and all. I still blew it up. Haha. Then was in France I tried Alex's cuz his you could change the converter from high to low and on high it made noise and on low you could actually feel the electricity in the metal part. Crazy. ......okay. So i've been in Paris since Friday. Alex freaked me out by being 20 minutes late at the train station and giving me a mini panic attack but since then its been awesome. ZFor all you archi type people I have a list of all the things i've seen in the past.... 5-6 days (in order): Friday: St. Denis Sacre Couer (Sacred Heart) Eiffel Tower Saturday: Louvre L'arc de Triomphe Sacre Couer again (at night its apparently the hangout) Sunday: Catacombs (FLIPPEN AMAZING) John Nouvelle Museum thing D'Orsay Monday: Corbu Apartments Tuesday (In Amsterdam!): Sex Museum... yea NEMO (Renzo Project) ARCAM Kick ass BiblioTheek (Don remember the architects) Kick ass music center (dont know thae architects) Kanspoor (the floating light thing) Red Light district... of course and met these really cool architects (or students) with ... read more
same place. different time. i have a list of things that ive done for the first time. all within 2 days!!! 1. take an airplane to a foreign country 2. be in a foreign country 3. take a taxi 4. take a bus for more than 5 minutes in mammoth 5. ride on a subway 6. wander aimlessly trying not to get lost.... at least in a foreign country 7. made a building sad... if you saw my sketch of it youd be sad too. and oh yes..... no matter how cool it is that someone buys you an adapter- convertor that only costs 4 dollars! cuz they work for best buy... dont take it. because it cant handle your straightener and then your shit out of luck because now your hair looks as though its ... read more
ok people. im here. not to worry, im alive and safe and going insane. lets start with the hotel i booked not existing or something. stupid expedia. but i found, or rather a really nice taxi driver found me hotel thats nice and cheap and now im just flipping out about everything else. like that i donàt speak italian and i cant find anything. im going to paris in the morning. that is if i find the train station today and hopefully alex will be there waiting when i get there. i love you all... read more
