Woofing as well. I am also wwoofing through Tuscany, and will be staying with Charlotte at the castle for a few weeks in October. For right now I am staying at a small farm in Tuscany called Colombaia. If you ever decide to wwoof in Italy again I highly recommend this farm as well. Thank you so much for taking the time to write about your experience at Castello di Potentino, it has gotten me very excited. I am also writing a blog about my wwoofing experience at www.emilyisaac.wordpress.com if you are interested.
little help please Hi there! I'm so pleased to know you had such a magical time on both your farms. Makes me feel better. Honestly, I was a bit scared. I'm doing this alone and would LOVE to know which farms you stayed at and if you had their contact info. I'm apart of Italia Wwoofing but I am in desperate need of someone who has been there and felt safe. So can you please help me, and give me their names and info, so I may contact them? Also, when is the best time do you think to go. I was thinking of late September or October. I can even postpone it and go in March. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks :)
Wwoofing Hello there... excuse this reponse if it comes to late! Google "Wwoof" and "Italy" and you'll find the Wwoofing Italy website. It costs a bit to join for a year... 25 euros, maybe? You need to send a photo of yourself to the head-office and within a couple of weeks you are good to go. I recommend it highly! - Xavier
Potentino In early October I was on of those Norwegian tourists you mention ;-) What an amazing place Potentino is! I talked to an American guy who was wwoofing there, and I was very inspired to do it myself.
Wwoofing I'm glad you found our blog inspiring. We really couldn't recommend wwoofing highly enough - it was an absolutely magical experience and managed to completely exceed our expectations. We were very lucky with the two farms we went to, but there have to be plenty more great places around the world. Good luck!
English roses. Hi Xavier and Sarah! I have thoroughly enjoyed the writing you both have been contributing to this blog. Such witty, interesting and precise entries. The photos make me all tingly -- partly with jealously, mostly with appreciation for such beautifully composed sights -- I hope weekends in London are always a decent respite. (This is a lazy, sneaky, belated birthday wish for the 23rd of November to you too Xav!) Be well S and X, love Zoë.
Granny Bobbie finally replies to a "blog"-internet savvy!!!! My favourite That's all I wanted to say! Tuscany looks like it would be my favourite. Oh yes.
Great pics, especially the smoking sexual chemistry between the scooter drivers!

Amazing! wow. this is so unbelievable. I've always wanted to see Romania .. mostly lured to it by the magnificent castle of Vlad the Impaler (Our buddy, Dracula) . . but you've provided a side of it to me that seems so pure. Your blog was fantastic. The pictures are absolutely incredible! From one traveler to another .. . . Thanks! and Happy Journeys!
Cameo Yes, I´ll be in London in September so I should be available for theatrical appearence! I must insist that this time I will not be wearing womens` clothing or appraising pieces of raw meat. Once was definately enough.
stelettos Well I have always taken style tips from eastern europeans, now you know where I'm coming from. Early years in Serbia converted me to the glory of white steletto boots even in the the morning. Just goes to show when in Rome and what is normal is one country is so not in another, just depends whose eyes your looking through. Maybe I should live in Russia.
Xavy, my next show is in september and have booked fringe event venue for 4 nights. It's a comedy review with a dark side when video projections of Iraq take the stage. Hope you have time to do a cameo. xxxxx long time stelletos
green i am so sooooo soooooooooo jealous of your travelling expeditions!! you two write excellent blogs! i hope europe is an absolute dreamboat for you!

what a scream Sarah's snake story is such a scream. Do see why you paid for the night, I mean surely they should protect their guests better than that. A monkey bite me once in Tailand and that was horrible. But seriously, the situation sounds horrible hilerious.
So your in Europe! Great. Getting closer. So looking forward to seeing you both - zillah xx
Oh yeah, love that feeling Oh yeah, that tropical scene is very addictive. Hope your've met some nice chums to party with. Spring is fab in London and the Summer when you come should be hot! so the tan will not fade. Have booked a venue for a new show in Sept so glad you'll be here for that. Seeing your photo's makes me wish i'd taken some over the years... As others have said, it's lovely to watch you both, a real joy.
We are from New Zealand, a paradise in the South Pacific. Unfortunately it is a bloody long way away from anywhere else, so since we are going oversees we are going to make it count - Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, India, Cambodia, Germany, Italy, Russia etc. etc... We'll be away for a long time and we are sure to get into adventures. Some of which will be unfortunate for us and funny for you - so we hope you enjoy.... full info
