Its been ages since our last blog so here goes................ We landed in Brisbane and to be honest we didn't think much of it after Thailand and Hong Kong. Its a good enough city but we missed not having the beach at our doorstep so we only stayed a week and moved on to surfer Paradise. While we were there though we went to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where there are loads of Koala's, Kangaroos and other animals so that was Brilliant. We left for koh Phangan on the 27th November and ended up having to do a Visa Run on the 29th November. This meant that after spending 12 hours on buses and boats to get to Koh Phangan we had to do a round trip to Burma which takes 24 hours. You have to leave Thailand after 30 days and come back in to get another 30 day tourist visa. We got a night ferry which took 7 hours and then had to get a mini bus to the border of Burma. We stayed about 2 weeks in Phi Phi since our last blog. We planned to leave everyday but we just loved the place so much so we couldn't. Went on a fabulous boat trip one of the days and visited loads of little Islands all with white sands, clear blue water and cocunut trees. We went to Maya Bay where the film "The Beach" was made, and Banmoo Island, Monkey Island and loads of others. Were on Phi Phi Island at the moment and we love it. We spent 4 nights in Phuket first of all. We flew from Bangkok so when we landed we stayed on a tiny little beach called Nai Yang. There was hardly anything there just a small beach with white sand and palm trees and our room was in a little rainforest. It was perfect aft Bangkok so we stayed there for 3 nights. Hey everyone we made it here at last. The place is crazy. First of all the flight went grand. 11 hours was very long but there was loads of films and that so we were fine. Got no sleep so we are still a bit jet lagged. We are sleeping during the day and out all night ha ha (maybe its not jetlag !!!!) Were staying near the Khao San Road and the place is mental. This is just a test to see if I can get this up and running. We are starting our travells tomorro and our first stop is the one and only Bangkok where we will work our way through S E Asia from there. At the moment we are quite nervous and excited and we cant sleep so we are suffering from JetLag already !!! I suppose having going away parties for the last seven nites doesn't help either.
