YAY for you!
Hi Sarah! Glad to "hear" from you again. You are just delightful the way you share it all with us. Can't tell you how much you make me smile as I read along and "trave" with you. Had dinner w/your parents last week and had a great time. More laughs, etc. Your Mom showed us pics of the villa where they are staying when the come to visit you. Julie is going to be at the house and take care of Sasha while they are gone. She'll be sleeping on the couch with her head in J's lap by the 2nd day. LOL We're closing the book store on the 31st of March. It's time. Now I have to find a job! At my age! Phooey! Anyhow...we talk of you often and miss you! Love and hugs Wendy

000000h Sarah --- I can't even tell you what goosebumps it gives me to see the pictures you're so kind to share with us - especially ones like the Arch at P. delle Republicca - I just expect the next picture to have all the tourists cleared out and horse drawn chariots parading thru the courtyard with Charlton Heston at the reins!!! Sure does give new meaning to "old", speaking from the "colonies" over here! THANK YOU for sharing so eloquently!

Happy to hear more news!
Hi there! Saw your Mom today ; she stopped in the store for a few. I asked if there were any news and she said nope. Then I got an email notifying me that you'd been writing again. I love it,Sarah. You are just too funny; as I said before, it's as if I'm talking with you ~ face to face. I can hear you saying everything you relate. As for your having an amazing ass when you get home...NO COMMENT. I can just see your Dad when he reads that! OMG...LOLOL We are having rain all day...it sucks. It was supposed to be sunny today and tomorrow and then maybe another 8 - 14 inches of snow on Friday. I have to admit I"m getting a bit sick of it as the store is closed due to weather way too much. I'm gonna be eligible for food stamps pretty soon and be going to the Soup Kitchen for groceries and meals! I just hope all of this doesn't freeze tonight or it's gonna be a miserable day tomorrow w/ice all over. Ptui! Anyhow...just wanted to say hi...Keep on writing...perhaps you'll have a memoir of your semester abroad when you finish! Ciao!! Lotsa hugs ~ Wendy

JEALOUS
OK, Miss Finch.... If one of your textbooks is a dictionary, look up JEALOUS and it will have my picture next to it!!! Everything so far sounds like SO much fun! And those pictures of the Alps... Oh My Gosh!!!! Spectacular! How much time do you have before classes actually begin? Are you finding anyone who speaks "American"? That is my biggest fear of going abroad unless it is with a tour group.... I can just see Mr. Lirot & I ending up in some sort of "predicament"! Can't wait for your next update! Will definitely stay tuned! Pat

Ramblings of jealousy
Hi there kiddo! Sarah, you need to consider writing, too. You have a wonderful way of expressing yourself! It's as if you were sitting here telling me all this in person. I love reading all this stuff you're exploring and discovering. What fun! I get more and more jealous ! Mebbe someday I'll get to Europe. I guess the College of Nursing didn't have an option of a semester abroad. LOL Probably just as well. Keep on writing...I love it!! Hugs, Wendy

SO glad to hear from you! YAY!
Dear Sarah, What a surprise to find you on facebook already! It's wonderful to stay in touch. Sounds about typical of your departure. I had a long visit with your Mom that afternoon and she seemed pretty good. :) Talked to her about the big snow storm we had...She told me that yesterday, Thursday, your Dad would be out on the snow mobiles and having a blast. Didn't talk to her, so I"m sure they were playing in the snow. :) Nothing new around here except we are to get a bit more snow tomorrow night. Then some "warm" weather, all the way up to 35 degrees for Sunday! A heat wave!! Anyhow, a nasty mix for Tuesday, but that will probably change a dozen times before then. LOL I hope you're keeping a journal, too, or saving all of this blog somehow. It'll be so much fun to look at it all years from now. Wish I were in Italy, too...You are going to have the bestest time ever!! Be safe! Lots of love, Wendy
