Glad you both enjoyed the trip. We enjoyed having you as our guests. Come back soon!

Highway 1
Yes, the douchebaggery quotient along that stretch of coast is quite high.

That's exactly what a chinatown should be but this one wasn't at all, pretty desolate ...
17th August 2009

Nice to know that you are having fun , take care Bea
17th August 2009

Chinatown
It looks pretty deserted. I always pictured Chinatown as bustling and congested.
17th August 2009

Yes, true yet another of the blown out of proportion things LOL but what was shocking was the water level that has clearly dropped in the recent years !!!

Well I have to admit that after having lived in a humid tropical country I rather prefer the humid heat than the dry one. The dry heat really gets to you much more than the other.

Hollywood
Never believe what you see on TV. The only truism regarding Hollywood is that it is very flamboyant ;)
16th August 2009

California
Yeah, but it was a dry heat...
16th August 2009

Vegas, baby!
Hopefully you saw the light show at the Belagio, and the Pirate show outside Treasure Island (both at night)?
16th August 2009

Arizona
I always thought Hoover Dam was rather small, don't you think?
15th August 2009

You didn't miss anything Goldie ... we were out of internet for a while so here's the rest to catch up
10th August 2009

New Mexico
Oh, I have a story to tell you about the red/green sauce ;) Yes, NM is the home of way too many Peruvian knock-off flute bands, rusted out vehicle hulks, and people who think that it's not part of the U.S. (sad but true). It's also the home of the Albuquerque Balloon Festival - which is very cool.

Texas
The Cadillac Ranch a.k.a. Little Carhenge! What I want to know is: What happened to the other 62oz of steak? You didn't take on the challenge?
9th August 2009

9th August 2009
