At the weekend we travelled to Whakatane to see Grandad. We stayed at Ohope Beach at a delightful Bed and Breakfast. Robyn Fleming was looking after the B&B for the owners. It transpired that Robyn and I both grew up on farms in the area and we knew a lot of people, but didn't know each other. We had a great chin wagged and a lot of laughs. What a wonderful day we had yesterday. We picked up our dear friends Carrie and Trevor Brown from the Waiheke Island Ferry and off we went via many detours to have lunch with our other dear friends Pam and Tony Makin. While we were waiting at the Bucklands Beach Yacht Club for the Ferry to come in we noticed that the Yacht Club was having a special sailing day and all the men were dressed in evening clothes from their waist up and all you saw were bare legs from their waist down very funny.
