awasome...historic..beautiful..clean..wonderful...monumental...structured..am i running short of adjectives??yes, iam running short of it to describe how amazing Washington DC is!!DC as it is called here is the destination where i spent my last weekend.ie 4th in July,2004.And it was worth all the cost and efforts that we put in to be there. Washington DC i.e district of columbia is the capital city of usa.and fortunately just 2 hours drive from our apts. However it took us little longer to reach there as we took Grey Hound Bus service from Wilmington to DC.It has a stopover at Baltimore. And though it was long journey i feel it was good b'use we were able toget a outside view of Baltimore,a major port on eastern coast of USA.The start was rather in a hurry as we get up half asleep from a previous day ... read more

I must have been in my dreams…I was on British Airways Flight 139 from Mumbai to London with the whole new group of guys who have joined a leading MNC bank for migrating some accounting functions from USA. As first step, before we start we will be given training on Investment banking at exclusive classroom training in Trinity Towers office of that MNC in central London. We have been put up in the luxurious Thistle Towers Hotel in Central London for a period of week. During this week, I have the chance to visit all those famous London city attractions, after the training. I will see Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, London Eye, Tower Bridge, Lords Cricket Ground, Harrods, Trafalgar Square, St. Paul Cathedral and the famous Wimbledon!! Am I in dreams???NO…I was actually in BA flight. ... read more

Here iam ...One More time! First weekend, on my 4th visit to US.Where to go, was the question in my mind, when my visit was confirmed 2 weeks back. I clearly had 2options. one Phili and second Atlantic City. I shared my plans with Lawrence immediatly on arrival. he was ok with both. So then we decided to make some homework from our apartments. We had 1 day in our hands. After making calls to SEPTA & Greyhound, we freezed on Phili. Reason - We didnt had good bus schedules for Atlantic City. We booked the cab saturday morning & quickly went to sleep. Next morning I got up a little late. The bus was scheduled at 1.20 from Wilmington. We had some good breakfast & reach Wilmington at around 12 noon. SEPTA was closed due to ... read more

Hi All , One last time...one last time at big apple. August 7-8, 2004...exactly a month ago, I have been there on July 3-5, 2004...joining local people's celebration of their independance...and now again...but this time I knew that this is my last time in the big city on this Tour. New York City. The most happening place on the face of this earth. The best place to be in on a Holiday. And there I was with my friends, Pracheer, kamlesh & Shailaja. All 4 of us. I arrived there at 11.30 am on Saturday morning in our colleague’s car.Sumit pande, a JP Morgan employee here was on his way to New Jersey on that day. Hi All - Last two days I have done the most exciting and adventurous things of this tour. It began on Friday evening. We left office as usual and were waiting 4 our shuttle to pick us up. My colleague kamlesh told me that he has asked a fellow Indian in our office whether we wud like to go to newyork that weekend in his car, since he was going to Jersey City which is on the outskirts of ny city. (NYC).We decided to make use of this opportunity and go 4 it. We called him to tell him that we want to go. He came to my apts same evening to check out whether we can go the same evening. But it didn’t work out. We decided for morning so there we were all set ... read more

It was me, my boss(shailaja) and sishir das who began our journey on Friday afternoon at 2.45 pm.We were suppose to leave at 2 but got delayed as we went to BestBuy(a big electronics shop here in Delaware) to shop for my handy cam.God..What a variety we have here. Good that i had Milan to take us there and drop us back to office. Milan has been quiet a help to select the Canon Divicam. It was a very good bargain as i got a USD 570 worth cheej for just USD 400.The reason being it was an open item, meaning that somebody returned it within couple of days of its purchase...Man,i was happy for saving ... read more

They Came, they Saw ....They are Frozen!! I can’t think of a better title for this page, as I start to describe my experience of my 7th visit to New York City since joining JP Morgan Chase. It just feels wonderful to be back here to this mega city... which I always dreamt of visiting at least one time a few years back. So what’s left to see now? Let’s see....Statue of Liberty?? No...Empire State? No.Times Square?? No...Battery Park? No...NYSE...No...WTC??...No...Helicopter Ride of NYC?? ..No...Central Park??...No..Well...it seems that I have to work a bit here to identify the place to visit this time. And I did that homework long back before arriving here. As with Philies, I wanted to visit some other places that I wanted to visit in my last visits, but missed out. What Are ... read more
