I think we took the same trip By looking at all your pics and comments i think we took the same trip. In oct. 06 i flew into Beijing for 5 days then to Nanning for a cpl more, Then a train ride to Guilin for a few more days then the Boat to Yangshou ( was suprised by all the americans in Yangshou )
I have to say ... it was probably the best trip i ever took and hope to go back to explore some more

Yes, the tour guide was pretty happy about the rain. Too bad we weren't so excited. I'll post pictures and you'll see that it actually turned out OK for us.
Gio han yu gai lin The rain to local people is the best thing happened in a long time. a lot of places if it doesn't rain they will prey for the rain. To tour people is just the opposite. gio-han- yu -gai- lin that means when it is drought then it rains so the farmer is so relieved.
