Hey. Well this is my final entry. Yesterday was pretty uneventful. All this travel has caught up to us i think. We're pretty shattered at the moment. So we did some washing and chilled at home with some music. Cold and wet too so going out was kinda pointless. Went into Tokyo last night, but we bailed after about 2hrs. Today (sat) we're off to the Tokyo Dome to see a Baseball game. Really excited about this. Nothing planned after that. Before airport we may have a look around Narita if we can. ok guys, will see you all in a few days! ... read more
Been up to heaps since last entry. Too much to type here now. So this week so far has been pretty relaxed. Monday we spent getting some washing done and backing up all our photos. We did all this at the place we were staying. They are some on andrews mates and were so god to us. Every morning breakfast was ready and waiting 4us, same for lunch and dinner. The couple have a 3yr old daughter who would occasionally come up to me and ramble on in japanese and i had no idea what she was going on about. I just nodded! Tuesday we were taken for a drive to Hakone. about 3hrs from where we were staying. The fam we were crashing with took us up there. It was pouring rain that whole day ... read more
hey all. have been to heaps of places since my last entry. Down to Kyoto on the Shinkansen (bullet train). wow that thing goes so fast! visited heaps of temples and shrines. hired bikes and went for a ride around the city. just a little bit dangerous! stayed in a youth hostel in Kyoto. did Osaka and saw a castle there. Stayed in a capsule hotel the other night. it had numerous signs stating NO TATTOOS!! so that made things very difficult when trying to change! we skipped having a bath when we checked in because we would have been kicked out. so waited till morn and jumped into the baths then. one of the workers there spotted andrews tat and they told him to cover it up asap! heaps of stories to tell but no time just ... read more
7th April Went and saw a big buddah this arvo. Its the highest statue in the world at 129mt. Was pretty awesome sight, we also went up inside it to the top. Small look out up there. We have been staying with one of andrews good friends Eri while in Tonosho and we were invited to her grandmothers place for some morning tea. She gave us a heap of old ceramic stuff. cups, plates etc. There is some pretty cool stuff. Her husband just passed away a few weeks ago and she is cleaning out the house. So we have a big box of it that we will send on a slow boat back home. Did some karoke that night too in this local pub. so tiny. Sang a few songs with the locals, and they ... read more

Hey, So been super busy this week. Went snowboarding for 3days! was so much fun! the snow was awesome, cold at times but can be very warm during day.!! Did a 2hr lesson in snowboarding with andrew as my interpreter! and went from there to the slopes! First day was a big learning curve with a few spills, and day #2 went much better. But i did manage to roll my ankle a couple of times!. Yep i did a small injury! not too bad but i decided to stay away from the snow on day3 just incase i did some more damage, did not want to spoil the rest of the trip. Crane kept at it while i chilled out inside and ventured out to take some photos. Was super windy that day and couldn:t ... read more
