| 23rd November 2007 Charles K. Daneshfar | About your experience. - From: Big hassle at Mashhad airport Dear Sir/Madam, It has been my pleasure and an honor to visit this forum and look at the pictures and the stories people such as yourself are showing and telling about my Country of birth and origin. By no choice of mine, during my teenage years, I was brought to the U.S. and have been here for the past 28 years. And have never had the opportunity to leave and visit my birthplace. Thank you for visiting Iran and sharing your travel experiences with us and as an Iranian Zoroastrian, I do apologize for any discomfort you may have experienced. You see, we are famous for our hospitality. Regards. |

| 7th November 2007 SA SilkRoad | Greeks in Tashkent - From: Kyrgystan's Nature Spyros: we didn't meet any Greeks in Tashkent. There must still be some of them living there, but we've been told that a lot of foreigners left the city in the last years because it's more and more difficult to find jobs here. Filia to the whole family! |
| 6th November 2007 Spyros | Hello from teaneck - From: Kyrgystan's Nature Dear Annamaria and Sylvan. I enjoy your journals. Assuming that you will visit Taskent, I wonder whether there are any Greeks still there? The Russians moved them there after the communists were forced to leave Greece in about 1947? Regarding us we are doing good. Little Anna ( 7 months old) visited us last weekend. She very sweet and very alert. Love Spyros |
| 23rd October 2007 Spyros | Hello - From: Kyrgystan's Nature Dear Annamaria and Sylvan: Always eager to read about your adventures and see your lovely pictures. Love Spyros |

| 6th October 2007 Amir khodadad | - From: Big hassle at Mashhad airport Dear friend , It seems that the problems you experienced in Mashhad was purely due to your lack of knowledge and the fault of the Kyrgyz official in Mashhad. I am sure your treatment in Iran was much better than my treatment in the US by the US immigration a few years ago. Please be prepared next time you go to Iran and do not think about travelling to the USA, because you may end up in a police cell like myself for weeks without anybody knowing. You see after all Iran is much better. Regards Amir. |

| 30th September 2007 Yannis | I'm sooooooo jealous! - From: From beautiful Esfahan to religious Mashhad Hello guys, it's nice to see how exciting your traveling is, but it's not always nice to read your blog from cold and rainy London... You look great and not tired at all! At this rate you'll go round the world in 80 days.. Have fun, xxxxxxxxxxx Y. |
| 27th September 2007 Spyros | Hello - From: Yazd, Zoroastrianism and Did Ramazan Start? Dear AnnaMaria and Sylvan: We didn't follow you for 10 days that we spent for Annoula's Christening and family vacation at Martha's Vineyard, the island south of Cape Cad. I wonder whether there is any way of going back in your entries? We all have had great time. Emilio who now speaks Spanish , English, Greek plus his own dialect was the center of our attention. Annoula is too little yet. Unfortunately I don't know how to attach to this email a picture of us with our two grand children. The weather was not that good for swimming in spite of that Costas jumped in for some seconds. The Christening and the luncheon were very nice. Neither Despina nor Irene made it to Martha's Vineyard. The weather got warmer since we returned home Monday the 24th. As you probably know the prime minister of Persia was in NY for a couple of days. I just finished Carter's book about Palestine. I found it very interesting and I will recommend it to all my relatives and friends. It seems to me that this is a must read book for all Americans. It is an eye opener. This much for now. Lots of love Spyros |
| 25th September 2007 Giano Colombo | - From: Yazd, Zoroastrianism and Did Ramazan Start? Papa |
