I only planned to spend 3 days but my passport went missing from my hotel room and I had to wait 2 weeks for a new one which was annoying. I saw a few things in Singapore while I was there. It's mostly shopping malls and new buildings but there's a few older buildings and temples dotted about. I also got out of the city a few times. I was only in Bali for a few days. After being a bit sick of the rain every day in Kuala Lumpur I decided to go to Bali for some sun. Bali had some nice beaches with big waves, I nevere got to learn to surf there but I will do at some point in Australia. I also saw some more of the island with a local as a tour guide and we saw a traditional Balinese dance show where they have lots of big costumes and masks. [View Full Entry]

I haven't updated this for ages so I'll quickly fill you in on what I've been upto. In Malaysia I started off visiting a couple of islands on the west coast. There was some really nice scenery and beaches and I met lots of cool people there. I will actually get round to putting some photos up soon. Next I went on to Cameron Highlands in central Malaysia. There we went jungle trekking up a mountain and saw some more nice views. After that I went to Kuala Lumpur for a few days and spent my time wandering round the city [View Full Entry]

Just a quick update, I have to go and get a bus in a minute. After a month in Cambodia I'm back in Thailand. I'm in Bangkok now and I'm heading south to Ko Phi Phi tonight. Hopefully theres not too much rain so I can get on the beach. I'll write a bit more when I have more time. [View Full Entry]

I'm still in Phnom Penh now but I'm going south to Kampot tomorrow. I've been working in a bar for a bit to save some money. It's been good fun but I got to move now and do something different. Hopefullly the weather is ok so I can get in some beach time in the south. [View Full Entry]

I arrived in Cambodia a few days ago and I've been in Phnom Penh. It's a really cool city which is no where near as hectic as I thought it would be. It's actually quite relaxing compared to Saigon. Not sure how long I'm spending in Cambodia yet but I'm in no rush to leave. [View Full Entry]

I spent about 5 days in Saigon and I stayed with a Vietnamese family in a part where there's no tourists. It was another good chance to see the local culture and try lots of different local food, I went to all sorts of different local places. Saigon was a crazy city though, there's always something going on and I've never seen so many motorbikes on a road at one time before. This was my last stop in Vietnam before Cambodia. I spent a couple of days in Mui Ne which is a cool little beach town with some big sand dunes nearby. The beach is so quiet you can easily find a spot where you are nowhere near anyone else. Its a surfing and kite surfing spot when the conditions are right but there wasn't enough wind when I was there so I didn't have a chance to give it a go. [View Full Entry]

After spending another week in Hanoi I went to Ninh Binh where there is not a lot to do but some nice scenery, I have lots of photos to put online but I'm still searching for a good enough internet connection to upload them. After Ninh Binh I went back to Hue for where I was pretty much adopted by a Vietnamese family who looked after me took me around to different places and fed me for a few days.
