The Roma community, one the most disadvantaged groups in Skopje, make up about 3% of the population. [View Full Entry]

For our ‘vacation’ we spend the weekend in a town / city called Ohrid. The beaches were beautiful and the city does not sleep. Shops are open at all hours, the weather is perfect with all forms and types of entertainment. Ohrid is a paradise. [View Full Entry]

Well, tomorrow I leave for the capital city of Macedonia, Skopje. In Macedonia, I will be a participant - along with seven other students - in an anthropological field study group through the Vancouver Island University study abroad program. But, such a journey does not happen in a vacuum.
