I Loved it in Nicaragua I thought Nicaragua was great been twice thinking of going again. The people are so friendly. The food is cheap and we went to some great places. I liked your photos and blog. Not been to Matagalpa so might go back and then there is volcano surfing!!! marvellous can't wait.
Enjoy travelling Ruth Richard
learning to drive/Christmas its high time Barry learned to drive. if I had your address I would send a) Christmas card and b) BSM vouchers
as it is I have a heavy cold & am stuck in London before migrating to a place that doesnt feature nearly enough in the blog - God's own country (Wiltshire). Our door is always open (even I am not always behind it).
Happy Christmas and love to you both.
Thanks for the write-up Barry, thanks for presenting Colombia in a wonderful light. I am a Colombian working here in the US and it is refreshing to read about all the good things we have to offer in Colombia, instead of just talking about the no so positive things of our country. Wonderful pictures and you may made me want to go and visit San Gil and Barichara. I visited Villa de Leyva my last visit to Colombia and also visited Raquira which is also a beautiful colorful town an hour away from Villa de Leyva.
Well actually... That praying mantis that Gabriella says is a grasshopper is actually a katydid, but with that statement aside, amazing photos! I envy the experience you had and your bravery for holding that tarantula.
Getaway Nice trip! Amazing all this is a weekend away. I saw Barry said he was going, how could I NOT assume you were far behind? Candles in Notre Dame is my favorite!
Creperie I was in Paris at the end of November. Fantastic as it was....I found the costs unbelievable but at least I now know where to eat cheapily....I'll have to check out the creperie/sandwich place you visited for next time. Best wishes, Dawn.

Hey great to read your blogs again. Sounds like a great place to go. Our last day in work today and then we are off to Georgia on Sunday. We aim to travel through Georgia (with a side trip to Armenia), Turkey and Bulgaria (if we have time) before returning to the UK in Oct for a wedding. Russ will be blogging of course.
Take care

Welcome to my travelblog, a place where I can record my trips, write down my experiences, share my ideas and re-live my memories. I don't really know why I keep a blog; I think it is partly because I don't want to forget things but it is also for my friends and family to keep up to date with my wandering. I guess I'm also writing it to help out other travellers who are looking for tips or inspiration.
