I just wanted to let everyone know I made it back safe and sound! I had a really good flight and made it into Tulsa about 10:10 p.m. on Wednesday, December 17th. It was a quick trip and I am still trying to get over my jet lag but it improves daily. Thanks again for all who supported my endeavor in finances, prayers, and encouragement. I have many memories and lots of stories. I will never forget my time in Moscow!... read more

Hello my faithful blog readers! Today I come to you with sad news. This will likely be my final and last blog from Moscow as I am returning to the states on Saturday, December 20th. My plans were to stay until at least May, but God has other plans for my life. While I don't understand why I was only here for approximately two months, I am ready and willing to go where God leads me. I want to thank everyone who has kept up with me via my blog, those who have called, emailed, sent Myspace comments and messages, and sent messages via Everyones Apostolic. You will never know how much it has meant to me to hear from each and everyone of you. Each of you has offered strength and encouragement in your own ... read more

So, today I thought I would take a minute and share the humorous (although frustrating) adventure of trying to get money wired to me via Western Union. Now that I have the money in hand it is easy to laugh about it, but I couldn't say that yesterday. Anyway, I thought you all would enjoy the story and will probably find humor in it as you picture me galavanting about Moscow. It will also give you a little insight into what it is like to live in this very difficult city. OK...to recap (for those who have forgotten or who did not read my previous blog) I was pick-pocketed on Friday evening after going to Red Square with my classmates. Long story short, they got very little money but did take my debit card, which is ... read more

...it was a wonderful blessing! And, the awesome part of it is that most of them are starting to or will be regular's, so it can only grow! We have a family of five who moved here from France and are going to be regular part of our group, two Filippino girls (who conincidently know my brother's pastor's wife and her sister), a girl from the UK, a girl from Boston, two local Russian guys, and of course the Pastor's family, myself, and Amber. It is great to have some steady members who will help reach Moscow. Everyone that has been a part so far, including those from the US, are excited about it and are asking what they can do to help! I really don't have much more to say tonight. It's late and I'm ... read more

No, my blog title is not a joke. This evening as I was returning from spending the afternoon with my classmates (4 from Korea, 1 from Turkey) I was pick-pocketed. I have been extremely careful when on the Metro and about town to keep this from happening. Here is what happened. We had just finished having dinner at Red Square and we decided to head back to the dorms. I had used my last Metro pass to get to Red Square so I had to buy a new one before we could get into the Metro. I paid and placed my wallet back into my front pocket (as suggested to keep theives from having easy access. On top of keeping it here, when I am in tight places I always keep my hand in my pocket ... read more

...for everything! Hello my faithful blog readers. It has been a few days since I last updated so today's blog may be a little lengthy but it will have pics! I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving with family and friends. I hope you ate until you were satisfied and had a great day! I did not think I would get a traditional Thanksgiving so before I left my mom fixed a big Thanksgiving dinner for about 40 people. However, I was able to enjoy a wonderful, traditonal Thanksgiving right here in the middle of Moscow! I could end there, but I'm sure you are wondering how this happened. I'll tell you. When I decided to come to Moscow my grandma told me she went to church (View Acres in Berryhill) with a lady who had ... read more

...but not like in the US! They are starting to decorate for Christmas and are beginning to play a little bit of Christmas music in the malls, but it still doesn't compare to home. But, at least it is feeling a little like the holidays. It's been a few days since I spent some time sharing what is happening so I'll take some time today to do that. I get Thanksgiving! Before I left Tulsa I asked my mom to cook Thanksgiving dinner for me because I didn't expect to have a traditional Thanksgiving here. It was good and I'm glad I was able to have it, but I do get to have an American Thanksgiving after all. Here's the story. When my Grandma found out that I was coming to Moscow she brought me a ... read more

I know everyone has been eager to see pics and I finally have internet in my room so I can put some on. I hope you enjoy! Be sure and check out my video. It is just a small clip of Sunday School. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more on here for your enjoyment!... read more

Previet (hello) my Blog subscriber's and readers! So much has happend since the last time I blogged, so I thought I would update my blog before I have too much to convey at one time! The last major thing to happen was quite stressful but God worked in out in just a matter of minutes. How awesome is that? On Friday, Amber and myself were on our way to the State Museum at Red Square. As we were on the Metro I told her that my school was in the process of renewing my VISA. She said her school had not said anything to her about hers and it expired on Monday - less than three days! When we were back above ground she decided to contact her school and they told her to come to ... read more

I don't have a lot to say today, but I wanted to update everyone on the school situation. I received an email yesterday asking me to come by the Centre asap regarding my VISA. I was not sure what to think about this so I went to inquire about it. When I arrived I found out they just needed my signature (they sure know how to make you sweat, why couldn't they have just told me in the email they needed my signature?). Anyway, while I was taking care of the formalities Svetlana told me that they had two or three new students arriving next week and that next Wednesday they would begin a new class for beginners! Talk about an answer to prayers. Thanks to everyone who sent a prayer up about this situation. It ... read more
