jealous Looks like you guys will never see another cold day again. Went to Lake George for the weekend. First day, the temps ranged from -30 to a sultry +10. I sure wish I was there.
Love,
Dad
You have convinced me! I am moving to Emerald Bay I am looking to live at Emerald Bay, I love fishing yachting and fine islands and after a lot of research I am convinced - To live at Four Seasons could be expensive and not so private and so I am looking for somewhere nearby - I found www.thewaterfrontlife.com and they are offering developments for sale right besides Four Seasons! I would be interested to learn of other such developments on offer and how to find out about them - see you all in Exuma - Al
Great Life!!! Enjoyed your pics and your stories about these islands. I do hope that you will write about all your adventures in a book some day. Your story warmed a very cold Colorado day!!!!
Golf Unfortunately we didn't play any golf this time, but certainly thought of you guys while we were out there. We had so much fun with you all last year in the Berries.
Winter in the Bahamas-way to go Hi, Glad you are back in the boat and having fun.Time to relax after the rough ride there. We dream of the warm water and weather.Have fun!!
hey Spence We motored for two days against the wind... The weather is always a prediction that is a "guideline" for making our own decisions... Unfortunately this one was way off and we were already out in it before we could make other decisions... Ce la vie' - always more experiences to explore!
Love you Guys :) So glad you're back and happy! Merry Christmas, sorry I missed you by phone before you left, but I'm glad you're blogging again!
Love,
Chris
Black Point--Truly Heaven on Earth When I was a child, my family and I lived on Black Point for several years. My first and fondest memories are of life on that island, swimming, eating Coco plums, walking through the bush on our way to North Side, the looooong mailboat ride to Nassau, and many more!
Lorraine is a personal friend of the family, and when she was just getting into business my father (known to the locals as "Brudda' Steve") would take my mom (commonly referred to as "Sista' Joy") on dates to her cafe.
I love the islands, Black Point in particular, and would move back in a fraction of a heartbeat.
Black Point Regatta 2007 Hello - was looking for info on the regatta and saw your post. We were at Compass Cay (with Tucker and the Sharks) but made time to go over to the regatta and we at at Lorraine's Cafe - small world. I'm writing an article about the regatta and saw your great photo of the boat in progress. Wondered if I might be able to use it, if I can get the article published. I have some great shots of the boats racing that I would gladly exchange if you had an interest.
Glad you are back safe and sound and hopefully by this time, rested. I know you will enjoy being on land for awhile and so will Kona. Are you planning a trip to Kay's while you are here? The house is really beautiful and I know she has really missed you.
I am off to Egypt and Jordan for 22 days leaving Saturday on a Grand Circle Trip.
Sail away Hi, I finally got around to viewing your last month of travels. It feels so relaxing just reading about the Bahamas and all the special places. Thanks for helping all of us dream.
It looks beautiful there - and nice an calm. Hope the squalls stay off your heads. Have great fun with your families.
Your Luperon dwelling friends,
Captain Snappy and Sailor Sue
Wow! From the ridiculous to the sublime! I am glad that you were safe and used good judgment. I'm sure the man will remember his costly error for awhile. The dinner sounded wonderful.
Looking forward to Kay and Jack coming Friday. Wish you were here.
Rum Runners of lore were some of the best sailors on the seas. They had to outrun, outwit, and outsail the navy in order to make their spoils. We are proud to follow in the traditions of the past Rum Runners; to sail in the same waters, to find protected anchorages and friendly ports, as well as to enjoy some of the best rums the Caribbean has to offer- yar!
Let me introduce you to the crew of the Rum Runner; I’m Jen and do most of the blogging. But my life wouldn’t be complete without my husband Jay by my side. And as always we have our trusty companion Kona, the Salty Dog. We have b... full info
