Hello all, Well we have been home for over a week now and we thought that we should do one last blog since we said we would. It is good to be home and back to our comfortable surroundings. We have finally reached it, the last day of our trip. It is quite bittersweet. We can't imagine going back to the real world and not being able to just do and see as we please. On the other hand, we are ready to live in a house again, cook, and watch t.v. in English. Before we head home though we got to check out the amazing city of Athens. Yasas, We are on the last leg of our journey and spending it visiting a few of the Greek Isles. Sorry that we have not blogged for a bit, the Travelblog website has been down and we weren't able to get onto it. After another overnight ferry from Italy to Greece we arrived here and then took a bus to Athens and another ferry to the island of Mykonos. Our trip is quickly winding down to an end and we can't believe it. Though it seems like years ago that we were in England, I can't believe that soon we will be back in the states. Currently we are in Naples in southern Italy. This city has a reputation of being the mafia capital of the world and they tell you that if you are in downtown Naples then you are not to go out at night at all. Hello all, We have arrived safely in Florence after a fun car journey. The city of gold, leather, and the David. The temperature here is through the roof, but a little water and ice cream and we were fine. We are still traveling with my dad, Nan and Nikki and having a great time sightseeing and shopping. The Ponte Vecchio is a major hotspot here. It is a bridge covered in shops, that since the 1600's has only been allowed to sell gold and jewels. It is a great place to windowshop. Good day all, Back to Munich we go. This is the only city we have visited twice, but we didn't give it a good go the first time around anyway. We have traveled here this time with Nikki and James and they are giving us a good tour of the city. There are so many great sites here, it is a bit of a shame that one of its most popular points is the dancing clock. It seems like forever ago that we were looking forward to when we would meet up with my family. Now it is here. After a short plane ride from Lisbon to Germany we met up with Nikki and James. We met in a suburb of Stuttgard and did a tour of the area. Fortunately we were able to stay with some of James' friends and relax in a real home. During our 10 day whirlwind tour of Spain and Portugal we are now in the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. It is a beautiful city which has many aspects that reminded us of the states. There is a golden gate type of bridge like in San Fran, there is a port and many hills that looked a lot like Seattle, and the people all spoke English. We have decided that the Portugese people are the overall nicest that we have met along the way. Everyone is wanting to help and very friendly. Hey all, Yeah, so we have been slacking quite a bit with our blogging. As our trip nears it's end we are spending as much time in the sun and at the sights as we can. Hey all, We finally made it to Spain from Rome on our 19 hour ferry, and take it from us. If you ever need to do that trip, don't. It was the longest journey we have had. Our boat was late and we left at 3 am and didn't arrive in Barcelona until 2 am then next morning. It was not the cruise we had been hoping for. Regardless, we are here now and in a great city.
