We have all arrived in Vina del Mar after 10000 plus kilometres on the road but not without problems to re enter Chile. We had a great run down to La Rioja from Andalgala apart from Terry and Howard heading off in the opposite direction towards Belen. They finally arrived in La Rioja about three hours and 200 km later so they had their own adventure. While I was in the plaza I heard my name ca

More Mountain Passes and Rain Forests. After a late morning departure from Cafayate we made a run for the Taffe de Valle where we had a great lunch in super fine weather. Leaving our lunch stop there was low cloud in the direction we were going this turned into a wet and cold decent through the rain forest of the Taffe de Valle.Once we had descended below the cloud it warmed up again and we ar

It has been a hard long ride from Arequipa in Peru to Cafayate in Argentina. After an early start out of Arequipa with me leading everyone out of town with Tiny leading from then on.The instructions and briefing was specific that we do not go to Lima well how come I saw Jack and Rodrigo returning from that direction as I was heading towards Chile. There is a tricky Y intersection that we had als

After a great four days in Cusco the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu we are bitter about an opportunist Theif that made off with Straymono39s man bag as we were loading the motos right outside the Eco Inn Hotel. He put his bag on his moto and was distracted momentarily and this bloody low life whipped his bag away. We were a few blocks from the hotel when it dawned on him that he was missing

Hi all so we have made it from Puno to Cusco here in Peru parked up the motos and the chase truck and have been tourists for the past few days. Many of the adventurers were pretty gratefull to be off the motos and have a few days without too much pressure. I must admit we have had some 39Shoppers39 in the past but this lot leaves them for dead If this carries on I will have to look for

The ride from La Paz out to Coroico for lunch was a day of challenges for the riders with extremes of temperature and road conditions. My challenge was to get the riders from our hotel to the road to Coroico and back to our Hotelthat is no small feat I managed with only doing ONE street the wrong way all the vehicles coming the other way were flashing their lights at us including a Police car

Tongoy to Copiapo was basically just a run up the Pan Pacific Highway and dicing with the many trucks that ply this route. A couple of the riders missed the gas stop at Vallenar but as I had extra fuel on board for them we all made it. Radar made the distance on his trusty KLR.Howard picks up the story from here......We were sort of on time away this morning after pumping up the tyres and payin
