VIENTIANE We have arrived in the capital at 5.30 am, absolutely shattered after 10 hours on a bus, finding a guest house this time of a morning proved to be rather hard, either they were full or not open yet, eventually we have found a guest house that was reasonable. Had shower and feel dead into a bed...... round 12 noon we have got up and decided to go to the Cambodia embassy...... Cambodia Visa We had to get up early to get our visa, rented a motorbike and off we went. Reni was the driver and Romi passenger. Successfully applied for visa and were suppose to pick it up in the afternoon. With the motorbike rented for the whole day the road were ours. Next needed to get a ticket out of here, as we did not particularly like Vientiane, got we came for and lets move. Where is the bloody bus station? PAKSE We have arrived in Pakse again in early hours of a morning, and the journey was not bad at all, VIP bus did the trick. Finding a guest house was easy as well, we had shower and had some rest. We had to plan where to go next, although the area look ideal for trecking, however me Romi with badly burn calf would not manage to do it. Decision was made next day to 4000 Islands. Dolphins where are you.... Off we go, by what? - bus, no boat, no bus, OK boat and then a bus, organisation in Laos is wonder full. We went to the boarders of Cambodia where we had the chance to see the fresh-watter dolphins, we had to hang around for sometime. We saw them, although there were quite in distance, however they are so rare, we were lucky to see them at all. Hello all we are back in Laos - Luang Prabang to be precious, yes we back in town....and it is so lovely when Mama welcomed us back. We will have the 3rd Happy New Year celebration this year and this one involves throwing watter at each other. We will try to get the catch up with the entries, however it is not always easy as it is time consuming, hope you all understand. As we are not normal we have decided to go on another treck in this lovely warm weather, only this time elephants were involved, even that we had the choice to go by Tuk Tuk ( Tak Tak, as I Romi call it) we have taken the insanity route BICYCLES on not exactly flat road either ...15km later, drowning in our own sweat and without a breath we have arrived to catch a boat across the river to the Elephant Camp. Even that the heat was unbearable we made ourselves to go sight seeing, well we had to as we were in here it would be a waste of a time to just sit and not do anything ( even that are coming back, but at that time we did not plan to). We went to see the Royal Palace Museum and did a lovely climb in this lovely weather up on to the Phu Si, where everyone was waiting for the sun set, so we didn't. MAMA'S HOUSE After coming back to Luang Nam Tha back from Muang Sing for one last night is was time to make a move, so this day we went on local bus to Luang Prabang (10 Hours), lovely scenery on the way there but it was bloody hot and on fake leader sets it was not pretty. ENTERING DIFFERENT WORLD As soon as we have checked into our Guest House we could see the difference. The owner were so smiley and lovely, our room was amazing so big and clean, own shower, and the bedding smelled nice, so did the towels, lovely. We knew it is laundry time, so we had done in hot wash for the first time since we gone travelling, it is amazing how little things make you happy, the smell of clean laundry was our highlight of a next day. ANGELS WHERE WE GO... Destination: Caves It took us little bit of time to figure out where we want to go, but after to much elaboration it was decided we shall go and see some Caves. Scott was the team leader and was trying to reassure us what a great navigation seance he's got by making turns that he did not to intent to do... And we had enough to worry about as neither of us drove motorbike before, but as we are so talented it took us not long before we were whizzing down the road 80Km/h.
