WELCOME CAMBODIA TRAVEL We had no problems crossing the boarder as we already had visa, only had to pay stamp duty. " Don't worry I do this every day..." ... was what we got told by motorbike drivers as they were talking us to our guest house with our backpacks in front of them,.." look I can even drive with one hand..." we did feel really safe... no... On your bike... where will be go today.... lets go and find Ream National Park... easy...we have booked a day trip for the next day. The area itself looked worth exploring.... driving around we found ourselves at end of road, well dirt-path... so we took it along the beach... and found ourselves crashing some locals party... we got invited... by very drunk local man who took our bike keys.. so we had no choice than join them.... it was fun... wish we could stay longer, we even got even offered to stay overnight, however with day trip booked for next day [View Full Entry]

Ream National Park " be here at 9 " OK we are here even 20 minutes earlier, however HERE was not here at all... it was another 15 minutes on bike away... and when we have arrived they did look like had no idea we were coming... organisation... well ....luckily we had a "receipt" - piece of paper with handwritten scribble on it... MIND OUT.... COW! ... DOG!! .. COW!! .... CYCLIST!... COW!!! That was what was going through our mind most of the 10 hour journey to Siem Reap, and as we sat right at the front, so many times we saw the cows almost landing in our lap... well, it is their land, so why should they hurry or move, when the driver is beeping the horn like there is no tomorrow. TEMPLES OF ANGKOR We have arranged for our landlord Tom to take us to the temples as he was also Tuk Tuk driver, we wanted to see the sunrise and sunset... so 5.30 am departure... Temples were amazing, but the heat was not... we had lots of fun especially going up almost 90 degrees stairs... well doing down was the funny part and doing silly things.. see the photos... PHONOM PENH - grows on you Back to the capital, - "where you go..., tuk tuk lady ..." . We needed Laos visa. We did not plan to go back to the same guest house as the first time, instead we found one that was secluded from the main street. And it was were the local Tuk Tuk drivers hang around drinking beer and playing chests. All three nights we have joined them. With our calculation of days we had few days to spare before we had to head back to Luang Prabang, hence we have decided to go back to the sea site Kep near Kampot as originally planed. Departing was no problem, accept our ride has broken down, well it would not be travelling in Cambodia if we would not brake down at least once, perhaps the 4 foreigners with 7 massive backpacks on little Tuk Tuk had something to do with it..... poor men we have cause him to loose means of living ... KUANG SI WATERFALLS This was our 6th day in Luang Prabang and we have not done that much, hence we went to see the Kuang Si waterfalls. However as it is dry season in Lao, it was not in its full glory, but still powerful enough. We have also saw a black bears and a tiger, all of which have been saved from poachers. We had lovely swim, again it was rather refreshing and watch some of the locals throwing themselves into to water using a robe hang off a tree. TIME TO MOVE ON Spending a week in Luang Prabang was enough and as we have planned to come back to Lao, we knew we have to head towards our next destination Cambodia. Today we were leaving for Vientiane - capital of Lao to arrange Cambodia's visa.
