Nahh johns having fun I believe he just has to be more social and Want to do new things like Bowl and play volleyball, and listen to other music than just ROCK. YEa Im laying off the drinks for a while was fun while it lasted hey just finished my book Zen and The art of Motorcycle maintenence probalby favorite book of all time You should read it By the way Im building a motorcycle when I come home!
THANKS 4 reading! OK BERN! Lots of people read but dont comment so I literally have no idea who reads it all but its more of for myself once again thanks for reading lol. No worries bout telling me what to do either It is very difficult for me to get offended (orange peel). Its all good too I embrace the weirdness of life maybe if I get to know you better youll hear some insane stories ha Im really happy for you and KEEGAN hope all turns out well and I guess if you continue reading and all of sudden like no entries from december or something or no entries for like 2 weeks I probably died ROFL
Wut happened? Great pictures of the festival! Love the one where you are wearing some sort of headress. You sh/see Keegan in Boston, just don't start rooting for the Celtics or I will disown you! I am pleased that you are having such a good time south of the equator. Does the toilet water spiral in the opposite direction? BTW. I have been borrowing your sunglasses that you left in your truck because mine broke, while I was in Las Vegas last month. Doesn't sound like John is having as good a time as you, I hope that is not the case. Try not and drink so much, give your body and liver a break. Ha ha. Love dad.
Wowzers. Rob, this is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! I meant to just skim through the first page to see if the link worked, but wound up reading all the way through them because they were so wonderful. I love the stream-of-consciousness thang you have going on. It´s just like how I journal and e-mail, but it´s way more interesting for me to read because I´m a character in YOUR story. I´ll be reading this years from now to remember these six weeks. But juuust for the record, my name´s Bern. And I ain´t Swedish (close tho... I´m Swiss). And I´m sorry-- didn´t mean to seem bitchy about the orange peels... I´ve just been brainwashed by years of hiking with my Dad. And yes, I´ve been quoting that awesome comment you made about how stars are like people at quite a few of my friends. And I can´t believe you called me and Keegan that early on. And yes... I do embrace the weirdness of life. Amen.
This rocks! It´s like a poem in prose. Thanks so much for taking the time to write and share it.
Your Blog Wow!! How exciting and so interesting. I am so happy that you are having such a wonderful time. Keep blogging because we are all reading your new adventures in Bolivia. We miss you lots. Say hi to everyone for me. I feel I am getting to know them. Take care and God Bless. Love Mom
Great Pics! Some of these pics reminded me of Kauai. Some reminded me of the Grand Canyon and Sedona, AZ, and one looks like Dunns River in Jamaica. What great pics. Keep them coming!
yea yea yea never said i was done with college more of would like to study abroad more. my bad wasnt trying to take a shot at you and mom didnt even realize I wrote that..Why should I have to write back all the time seems absurd as well. And tell mom to comment on my blog dont send me private messages because I dont want to sign on my email and reply that way too much effort. Glad MR. Finders is well. And I know I have friends they just dont feel the need to leave california which is frustrating and now that Im here no one texts me anymore like week one and what not so my phone is pretty much pointless aside from a huge clock. Nice to know people care I guess wrote the whole entry in like 3hrs yesterday have no idea what I wrote...
Hey.. You mentioned something about giving up on not changing people and the way they are. Great lesson you've learned there. John Lennon was the first to say that "All you need is LOVE". Not sure what you meant when you said, "I told him because even after knowing someone and living with them for 20 years you can realize that your still strangers." Not sure if that was a reference to your Mom and I?, but don't know who else you have lived with the last 20 years?
By the way, great Pink Floyd reference at the end of your blog....I like that. Here's one for you...
From the John Lennon song "Crippled Inside"
You can shine your shoes and wear a suit
You can comb your hair and look quite cute
You can hide your face behind a smile
One thing you can't hide
Is when you're crippled inside
You can wear a mask and paint your face
You can call yourself the human race
You can wear a collar and a tie
One thing you can't hide
Is when you're crippled inside
Well now you know that your
Cat has nine lives
Nine lives to itself
But you only got one
And a dog's life ain't fun
Mamma take a look outside
You can go to church and sing a hymn
You can judge me by the color of my skin
You can live a lie until you die
One thing you can't hide
Is when you're crippled inside
From a pastor acquaintance of mine:
"The integrity of any structure has to do with the internal infra-structure. I have done my fair share of painting and I often joke that I can hide the mistakes of the people who have gone before me, but I know that it is only cosmetic help that I can give. If there are small flaws, sure, I can hide them in the finish job, but I can’t solve structural issues with paint.
You can’t change a person simply by whitewashing the outside. It isn’t a new set of clothes, or even a new set of behaviors only!!! Rather, it is the transformation of the internal structures of a person, and the main building blocks of life are the building blocks of truth."
I kept telling your mom that the reason you haven't written is because you were on this 2 night, 3 day adventure. I read up on the Parque National Torotoro, prior to you departure. Got a little nervous about the cave excursion, the website said it was not for the faint-hearted and if you are even a little bit afraid of the dark, it was not a good idea. Glad you survived that! Sounds like you are making wise decisions everywhere you go, giving up on the trail that led to a pot plant, was a good idea, not climbing certain dangerous rocks for a photo opportunity is good. Dinosaur print pictures are awesome. I like the picture of you on the rock, reminds me of last year's trip to Zion where we sat on a rock.
I am disappointed in your revelation that you are done at CSUF. I read into that, that you are not going to finish college and I hope that is not the case, You would be doing yourself a great disservice, one that you will always regret. I am fine with you studying somewhere else, but the quality of education that you may obtain from a lessor well known college is not the same. You always get what you pay for. No matter where you are, it is all relative. Hey, no need to decide now, sounds like you still have a lot of thinking to do and that is good. I can tell in your blogs that you have already grown so much and that this will prove be a most valuable experience for you as you live the rest of your life. I have always told you that you need to travel to gain life experiences. Don't make the mistake of thinking that you have been forgotten here by your friends and especially family. Why just Sunday, Mr. Finders wanted me to make sure to say hello to you. He is well and said he was thinking about you a lot. Grandma and Grandpa call me after each blog to talk about how valuable an experience this is for you. Not talking down to you when I let you know that the spelling of the word is "forgot" not "frogot", no biggie. We are thinking about you all the time and miss you a lot, but it is comforting in knowing that there are people there who care about you and are taking good care of you. Always know that there are no two people who care about your welfare and well-being than your mom and dad. Miss you tons, Dad.

I can't wait to get home to sit down and read your last two blogs. The pictures were beautiful. The costumes and the hats, beautiful!
