| 30th January 2006 quintessential | Hi Rob.. - From: Reaching new highs... It is really nice reading about India and Nepal from a foreigner. Having myself travelled across India ( I couldn't aford to travel out-side India ) extensively.. I met many fellow travellers from Europe and rest of teh west. It was always interesting to hear about India from the western perspective. Yes it is Dirty, unclean.. and cheap here in India.. yet I loved my travels through India and Nepal. Don't miss a Helicopter flight to Everest in Nepal .. it is dead Cheap ! Hoping you the Best experiences in your travels. |
| 30th January 2006 quintessential | ..Hi Rob - From: The backwaters of India ..I love reading your blogs.. especially of your Indian experiences ! .. and for a small correctiona pal .. that is not Vivekananda Statue at Kanyakumari.. it just stood on the Vivekananda Rock. It is a famour Tamil Poet/writer's statue. I myself doesn't know his name tho.. ! wish you all teh Best in your travels - Ramesh |
| 21st December 2005 Dave Galvin | - From: Reaching new highs... Hi Rob, At the risk of sounding repetitive, it's so cool to hear of your experiences after being there earlier in the year. Christmas on a beach in Thailand sounds so appealing. You aren't missing much here. A bunch of crazy shoppers almost killing each other in a last attempt to get the perfect gift. And it's freakin freezing! Have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year. Dave. PS Your photographs are getting really good man! |
| 11th December 2005 Jane Sherlock | - From: 24 hour service It all looks very serene. I am sure its not though. The Ghats must have been awe inspiring. Perhaps too overwhelming to be able to write as much as others might consider fitting. |
| 8th December 2005 Robert Chuck | Is that it? - From: 24 hour service Rob, In comparison to your previous entries, this is pitiful. The spiritual home of Hindus and you can only write a few paragraphs, come on son get your finger out. obvioulsy I ma hardly jealous at all that you are swanning your way around the world. Enjoy yourself, life only goes down hill after you reach 97, all the best Robert |
| 6th November 2005 Hanne M. de Bruin | More in Kanchipuram - From: Off for a RIDE in Kanchipuram You'd like to see more in Kanchipuram: Visit the Kattaikkuttu Youth Theatre School where 6-16 year olds from villages get a professional training in the local Kattaikkuttu theatre in combination with basic education. The project prevents child labour in rural theatre companies and stimulates kids to think critically and independently through the arts. The school depends on Indian and foreign donations and grants. For more information visit the website www.kattaikkuttu.com |

Did you stay there? Do you have to book the place in advance? I love your pictures there, and of Hampi. I can barely remember it, just that the musician inside sound like Benny Goodman (my diary) |
