Today felt like I lived two days within 24 hours. I woke up early this morning and by early I mean 5 am. I finished packing and then crossed the harbor to town. It's been a while since my last blog. Just wanted to thank the Jarvinen's for an enchanted Christmas weekend - complete with stockings of goodies, lots of Santa loot, a big Christmas dinner, Dad's pancakes for breakfast, and unlimited Papa hugs. Yesterday I drove over to Clermont to have lunch with Billy (yes Thunderball Billy from the Bahamas). He is clean shaven and running his own business instead of pretending he's a runaway pirate. But I have hope that he and his lovely lady, Nicole will soon return to pirate land. Allen and Marce drove down from Gainesville, I flew in from the Bahamas, and Ina got "sick of work" so we could celebrate all weekend long with Mom, Guille and Grandpa! I celebrated Thanksgiving here in Exuma with Steve and his "angels." I'm including some of our fun pictures in this blog posting. We look a little goofy in some of them, but we had a great time. Winter is lovely here in the Bahamas. Hello Blog Fans! Here we are in the last days of summer and as I keep a watchful eye on hurricanes churning in the Caribbean, I am also busy squeezing in all the fun I can! We arrived in Scotland very early this morning and immediately saw the differences. We spent the morning learning about the history of tartans, weaving and of course shopping! We had the most amazing lunch on Castle Hill at a restaurant called the Witchery, named after the hundreds of witches who had been burned in that square during the 16th & 17th century. The food was so good there just might have been a little magic in it. We have been at Flass with Christine since Tuesday night. The mansion is amazing complete with secret passageways and even a ghost legend. We have been exploring the house and running around enjoying the countryside. The lcoals say that there are more than forty shades of green along the river and hills. I believe it. The river runs right through the property at Flass and I begin each day by walking along side it for as long as I can. It is peaceful and so beautiful.
